Hello.
Is there anyone here in the forums that actually played the E3 demo of Wildlands? Can anyone answer about the 3rd person option of shooting (Tight aim)?
In this video below we see that someone is firing an enemy in 3rd person view (Tight aim) but in any other video that I've saw, the shooting is always in 1st person.

What is showed in this video is a glitch? Or a feature that exists in the game? Why we saw so little occurrences of this mechanic (3rd person shooting) through the gameplay videos that were uploaded?
Thanks for your attention. Regards.
I didn't experience any type of precision aiming like in this video. I don't even know how they did it as the demo I played at both E3 and the Ubisoft Lounge didn't seem to have it as an option. In previous GR titles (on console anyway) clicking in the right thumb stick would make you ADS, and pulling LT would give you the precision aiming mode. The demos I played had ADS mapped to LT, and clicking in the right thumb stick made you do a goofy melee attack.
Maybe there was a button combo I didn't know about or maybe you could map the controller differently or something. I have no clue.
Thanks for your reply. It's nice to know that there's indeed an option to perform 3rd person precision aim and shooting.Originally Posted by M_Ulukai Go to original post
Regards,
Funny how all this question are asked about Consoles and Console gamepads but nothing has been said about using keyboard keys... I guess we will see that on the next gameplay demo? You know, the one where you get to pay the 60 bucks to find out that KBM was not included just yet but will be available for the 1st day patch.
What's your source on this? Did you play the demo? Just curious. I played it twice and both times I've experimented with the controls but wasn't able to get OTS aim. I had the same experience as Dan, pressing LT pulls you in first person, and clicking in the R stick does a melee attack.Originally Posted by M_Ulukai Go to original post
So is this a single click locked hip fire or is it a true hip fire and doesn't stay aimed unless your holding it down and has a wide spread or is it like grfs with a close and tight bullet spread? This is very important because you shouldn't be able to aim and shoot in TPS with any sort of accuracy outside of maybe 5-10 meters at best, let me know.Originally Posted by M_Ulukai Go to original post
All the demos have been on PC with an Xbox One controller so far. Why? Because everyone can pickup a controller and "figure it out" even if they're not great with it.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
Giving someone a keyboard and mouse setup if they aren't used to it is basically like handing someone a set of bagpipes and saying "play me Amazing Grace". Keyboard and mouse is a lot harder to get used to if you aren't familiar with it.
