I imagine the news will be that we'll be able to craft 240 level gear now that 268's will b the high water mark. However, no one will have enough mats to create anything because the material requirements will be absurd, and the drop rates for the unicorns, I mean electronics and weapon mods are next to zilch. Oh yeah, and gold div tech is worthless.


They need to allow gold div tech to be converted into other ****.

So many negative nancys on this forum. Just wait until the state of the game or the patch notes drop before making an opinion on what may or may not be happening.

Couldn't agree more. I've got a great LVOA and was looking forward to it being buffed. Maybe it still will. If it isn't.....well it's not the end of the world. I'll get another at some point, and it'll be better.

I hope it's about really buffing shotguns and/or assault rifles, otherwise the smg meta will still stay after 1.3.

they probably don't need to as most people will have new weapons anyway within a week or two after the patch is released. All the old weapons will be trash soon enough.

My 182 AK is still better than any 204 weapon I've every had drop; I'm not sure we can state with certainty that the existing stuff will be garbage..

Keep telling yourself that. I've played nearly 1,000 hours on this game. I've only ever gotten an LVOA as a gold drop ONCE...and it was a 163. No 182's, no 204's. Ditto for MP7's, FN FAL's, SMG-9's, and M4's. I've never even SEEN a 182 or 204 version of those...regardless of talents. A THOUSAND HOURS. Nothing.

Pretty sure the lead Massive guy said the new high weapon gearscore is at least 214 so your 182 will be sucking wind in a few weeks I think. Sorry, I'm not trolling you or trying to make you mad.

I have a 163 M4 whose base damage with no mods, is still higher than any 182 or 204 gun I've ever looted or crafted....and it only has 2 of its 3 talents active. I honestly don't know how they arrive at assigning gear scores to items in this game.

yeah, it's like current business goals for departments..... as soon as you are close to reaching the goal, the executives move the goal line....... endless.... it would be cool if you could upgrade your gear to the newer tier, than just scrapping it..... oh well..... nose to the grindstone again......

Hi everyone,

In putting together patch notes, it's become clear that there are specific changes coming to the weapons that will impact some existing weapons. Some of the changes will only apply to weapons dropped after the update. There will be more information about this on Thursday in the State of the Game but it might be worth holding on to those crafting materials for now. Just thought you should know.
