While I have no doubt someone might do something like that just to be an ***, let me play Devil's advocate for a minute and give you another scenario.

You want to do the 3 daily missions. So you go to the first one, matchmake and put together a group. The first mission goes well and no one is leaving so you start the second mission. It goes fine but one player leaves at the end of it. No problem, another player joins and you go to re-stock and get ready for mission 3. Then that new player puts up an HVT. It's YOUR group, YOU want to do your daily Mission. Who is this YAHOO coming in and taking over YOUR group? Kick him.

I'm just giving you a sample scenario, there are lots of ways you could have entered a group and been seen as being bigger than your boots. It's the group leader's group and it's up to the group leader to LEAD, not that all do, but if one does and you don't follow that lead, guess what may happen. I would never go into a group and, 'went in and selected my weekly HVT' as you put it. Even with your own words you say "MY weekly HVT", well it isn't YOUR group.

I understand you don't want to lose 30 Intel. I wouldn't want to either but I never have. I wouldn't do what you did simply because I would not want to risk loosing my intel points as you did. When I put my intel points down to pay for a weekly HVT, it happens in only ONE WAY. I am in a group I have already done some playing with and am confident the group is up to the job (you didn't even know that, did you). Then at least 2 of the other 3 players have their mics on and I can ask if IF they will hang in and WANT me to put up a weekly HVT for us to do.

The other night I was in a group doing HVTs and a new guy joined. When we finished the HVT we were on, the new guy jumped immediately to the Base and started another HVT. It just happened to be the one we had done just before he joined us. Now I'm sure he thought he was showing he was willing to 'pay his way' so to speak but if he had had his mic on and ASKED, we would have told me, 'we just did that one'. We ran the HVT anyway but what was being said by the 3 of us who WERE on mics, was not complimentary to that fourth player.

You barged in to a group and thought you could do whatever YOU wanted to do. Well, you learned a lesson I hope. ASK if you want to do something in a group you join. When you play solo, you can do as you please. When you want to join a group, TURN YOUR MIC ON and communicate. If you won't turn your mic on and talk to me, don't be surprised by anything that I do to you if I am the group leader.

I've seen guys stop in the middle of a mission, as in just stand there. Now they may have gone for a quick leak or they may have gone to eat a meal. How do I know? Answer, kick. If they had talked to me and said, 'I really gotta take a leak guys, back in 2 minutes'. Answer, no kick.

I"ve seen guys who stop after every little pick up to look at their inventory, read through the attributes of that blue item they picked up or whatever. Again, no mic, do it twice and yup, kick. If they had a mic on I could say, 'hey guy, check the stuff when we finish the mission, not in the middle of the mission when we are all standing in the elevator waiting for you to get in.'

When you play in a group, it is the group that comes first, not YOU the individual.

I have to agree. It's quite possible that they were looking for players to do something other than HVTs, and when you launched one, they felt that they should leave. It may never have even occurred to them that they were kind of screwing you over in the process.

Matchmaking isn't exactly perfect either, not do players always choose the appropriate a type of play. I've lost track of the number of times that I've looked for players for freeroam, and it's come up with a group to join that's in DZ5. That's DZ ffs, not freeroam.
Honestly, HVTs need their own category for invites...

Or at least talk to them beforehand and see if they are cool with running the mission. They may still boot you but at least you know why they did it I either run these with people I know or solo them. I could match make and invite random people but most don't have mics (xbox) or choose not to talk and thus I can't communicate that I want to run a weekly with them as they often go off on their own You could try running some dz match making or incursions for a bit and then if you find a good group ask them if they want to run daily/weekly HVT/HRTs.

i just remembered that xbox is implementing an LFG system. This should help if they do it right.

Without a functional LFG system for the HVT's and Intel you are essentially relying on luck to get a group looking to do the missions rather then some random BS.

actually, the *new type of scum* you are talking about here is you. jumping into a group, dont even talk to them and just start a HVT. it's not your group, it's not your mission. when you join a group you have to be a teamplayer, not a solo player with a couple of followers..

i knew this was going to happen about a day after they put HVT's in the game. As i have said before, gamers these days are scum, and will do every cheat, exploit, trash thing they can. Its pathetic. You tube just spreads this type of play even more. 30,000 people got banned in this game! 30,000!!!!!! explains the state of gamers these days...GARBAGE If you have to cheat in a video game you are truly pathetic.
