Where to Find 204 Weapons? GS for Incursions?

Play between 6-8 hours a week. Alt is GS 203 with 4410 Armor, 62% Mitigation, 63500 Health, 16k skill, 147k dps on GS 163 Black Market AK-74 with Brutal, Swift and Deadly all unlocked. Have a 204 Aug with Brutal and Unforgiving unlocked at 131k dps but I have hadit for weeks and don't remember where I got it. Just locked its talents this past week. MIght have been a HVT mission as I had a weekend day to group up once. Gear set is 3 pieces Sentry and two Lone Star. Go with what you find that increase the armor.

Currently doing challenge missions as I can get in two missions for a gaming session between my main and alt. However, not getting any 204 weapons but I am slowly getting 214 gear sets.

Outside of the DZ, where do you go for 204 weapons? HVT or incursions? If incursions, is my alt geared up enough of the Hard incursions?

Also, I see lots of folks say they switch their skills on the fly while playing. So wondering what talents I should be using to do something like that but still benefit myself and the group. Currently using First Aid with Overdose and Sticky Bomb with Flashbang for crowd control. Signature is Survivor Link. Due to time limits, I play with randoms as I don't the time to build a group. Talents I use are Critical Save, Shrapnel, Chain Reaction and On the Move to support Flashbang. Play style is mid to close range combat and moving from cover to cover or shooting while moving sideways/diagonal to kill while on the move.

    Thanks!

Clear Sky drops a lot of 204 and is quick. If you have friends that can speed run CS ask them to help you.
There are many other ways I could write here but it's pointless since 1.3/DLC is only 10 days away and everything will change with the new GS and weapons levels. Better wait 10 days

I finally upgraded my 182 Tactical Vector with a 204 version that just came available at the BoO yesterday. It, coupled with my 204 Historian, 204 pistol and 214 armor finally got me to 211 GS. I still can't do the CM solo though. My gauge for whether I'm going to do them with a group is dependent on me being able to pull my own weight and beat 32's with ease. Right now I just can't do it. How are you pulling this off?

I watched a YouTube vid the other night of a group of 4 rolling in DZ06 and they were regularly pulling 240 items out. I can't survive up there for more than a few seconds, so its off limits for me.

I'm pretty sure the HVT's will not drop 204 weapons, but not 100 percent on this. All I get are 182's and 214 armor, mostly LS stuff.

You can get 204 weapons from HVTs... The top Tier Daily ones that cost like 20, 30 Intel each and are designated level 32 and group.

I managed to do one solo and it dropped a 204 shotgun (boo!).

So, you can get 204 weapons from HVTs, but like most things, it's up to RNGesus and if he is feeling generous, or not.

This is a prime example of the confusion around the GS stat. The Historian is a pretty terrible sniper rifle and only worth buying for collection purposes. You'd be much better off with a 182 M1A regardless of the talents. Just because a weapon or gear piece raises your GS does NOT mean that your character is stronger or better.

I could theoretically reach max GS but I would have an unplayable build...

By far your best bet is to do hard mode incursions, specifically Clear Skies, once you get the hang of it you will be clearing it in 10-15 minutes and picking up 204 weapons like they are going out of fashion, might need to get that health/toughness up a little though especially for the 2nd part but certainly do-able as you are now, also consider Falcon Lost incursion but that is totally boring and takes a lot longer than Clear Skies, DZ5/6 are guaranteed 204's inside dz bracket 201+ but with your toughness you would struggle a lot and then there is the risk of getting your loot out (its never yours until its extracted and in your stash box)

    ya i couldn't agree more.

even when this last update dropped i was GS 196. i could have been much higher at the time but my gear didnt have the right stats. so when i was pushed into the 200+ GS i thought it made perfect sense, and was an easy way to gear up. GS means very little. everyone knows its all about the actual stats of the gun. a 182 M1a is much better than the historian. having all 204 weapons is nice but some of them are garbage. in fact most of the ones that i find are garbage.

OP should try and find a team to run the DZ5-6 with in my opinion. i know its hard when you're solo but with a group its obviously possible and the risk is worth the rewards. every gun (except those in DZ crates) are 204 in that area. there is nothing else that is that consistent. you can get at least 2-3 204 weapons an hour in my experience.

HVT missions have dropped one 204 weapon for me, the rest have been 182. Clear sky did drop a 204 M1a for me, but with bad talents. seems like clear sky would be the next best option, behind waiting for something at the BoO to go on sale.

Nope, 41 days for me. PS4. But I knew that when I bought the game.

Ok, so top tier daily HVTs when I have to find a group or Clear Sky hard incursion with randoms. Will look up a guide for ideas how to play it. DZ5-6 if I have two or threes to play and find a group though not sure with my GS 203 score, anyone will let me join. Curious to see if I will have a hard time joining up for incursions also with score.

Thanks for the replies. Oh I understand GS doesn't mean quite as much. My main has a GS163 Aug with all talents activity and I can't seem to find anything better to replace it.
