I wouldn't think so - you can play single player co-op splitscreen or with a friend online too. And not sure if it will have offline mode with bots.

They said last year that multiplayer will be completely playable offline with bots (still splitscreen for your friends, though )

I would hope so, especially after what happened with Star Wars battlefront. More company's got the hint that not everyone has internet to support game play.

I mean if I don't want to be bothered with game invites I sign in, but log out of XBL. It's almost like at one point XB decided to try and force people into buying a gold membership which in my book is poor business taste.
