    Preach it, Tamoor.

Community managers, I'd like to emphasize that this is the sort of critique I actually give a lot of credence to. I probably will not miss the absence of a cover mechanic (but I acknowledge that a lot of people do, so may it is important after all). And I don't generally think you need a lot of gimmicky mechanics to make this game interesting. But I think you do probably need to make it hard in order to challenge players to think and play tactically.

Wow. I understand that the enemies are easy because its a demo/preview, but saying that a game without cover mechanics cannot be tactical, is totally ridiculous. The ignorance from the guys is astounding. Oh and the lack of gimmicky gadgets is a good thing. Lots of people(myself inc.) hated the futuristic direction that the previous versions had. IMHO The "casual gamers" idea of a Ghost Recon is gadgets and cover based combat. Both of which I believe ruin this franchise. Less gadgets more scenarios and no cover buttons and more ADS leaning like R6S. Oh and going prone should be a default in everygame. Its only when devs remove this feature from thier titles that you see people praising this when it returns.

There is no need to cover mechanics when you can see the other side of a wall before you even get to the edge of it but it takes away from the wanting to be tactical and take your time to peek around to see if you are not going to catch a bullet in your face.

Ok this is very important and would need confirmation on this but based on what was shown last year there is a sticky based cover mechanic in the game. Now if this has been removed along with other core mechanics i would be highly disappointed as these mechanics are core to this game series unlike rainbow six. If i wanted to play a rainbow six game in third person id just play in first but that's not the game i personally wanted to play. I really hope it just wasn't part of the demo but very much so in the game because that's part of what makes it a tactical shooter and using the cover in the game to your advantage and moving from one cover to the next. I know if all these mechanics have been removed and wont be part of the final product it would be a deciding factor if i would even purchase the game. I guess we have to wait and see if we can get confirmation on this hopefully real soon.

Moving cover to cover doesn't mean it needs to be sticky. I'm hoping we don't have it. If you can't take cover without sticky that is on you. Also Future Soldier was first pc GR with sticky so it is in no way core mechanic for the series.

A contextual cover system that does neither force you into cover not requires you to press a button to get into cover would be ideal. The main problem I see is the leaning over and around cover if there is no actual cover system. Games like The Last of Us and Metal Gear Solid V did a good job on this. I hope Wildlands will do something similar. If not it actually could pose a problem.

Never seen the cover system in GRP but there has to be a harder word than flawed for the R6V cover system.

What I actually don't understand, if true, is why a UBI guy was asking the other dude to be tactical if there is just no way in hell to be tactical while in TPV? Or if you can... someone explain to me how can this be acquired.

Did he mean be tactical in the sense not to rush or stop when you get to a corner, what? if you can see everywhere, and see where the enemy is or will be when you make the corner, how are you going not to rush him? Sure, you can make yourself slow down but the game is kinda pushing you NOT to be by giving you all of these advantages.

And again... speaking purely out of Solo Campaign and not MP. Also speaking from a spoiled point of view since I have had to play a lot of shooters in TPV and or the FPV shooters I do play don't have lean & peek options so you are used to slicing the corners but at least I do so with full ADS. And yes, sometimes this does not even help because the enemy ai is like a freaking wall so no matter how many shots you unload on them, they still manage to kill you even if wearing wife beaters and flip flops LOL.

install and play GRP, seriously the way they did tps was great and was very tactical there was no advantage to the tps at all because of the way the camera and everything was done with view points. If you do pm me and ill play with yea, i havent played in about a year but then you can see despite it being a very flawed game they got a heck of alot right and id have fun playing a few matches again.
