I would like to see Nobunaga Oda for Samurai, Joan of Arc for Knights and Rollo for Vikings as a character skin.

I would like to see Nobunaga Oda for Samurai, Joan of Arc for Knights and Rollo for Vikings as a character skin.

While this game draws from our history, it is not set in the same universe. Not to mention the copyright infringement of using another character from a TV show, the samurai are The Chosen, Vikings The Warborn, Knights The Legions. The Chosen wonder the desert and are few and far between, attacking The Legions homeland for more hospitable land. The Warborn cross the Boiling Sea to raid and assault The Legions homeland, which the ancestors of The Warborn inhabited and thus their reason for fighting them. All of this lore points to a completely different universe in which these iconic character probably weren't in.

Having skins that are derivative of these characters is completely fine, but having the people themselves in this game would seem out of place and confusing for the lore.

I don't believe you can get a copyright infringement for depicting historical figures. Also, there's the option of choosing your gender in this game, so I don't know if that will cause any problems for these kind of skins.

My question is what would this add to the game outside of being a character skin that may or may not fit into the game?
And my other question is, why would you want to mix history with a fictional universe?

I'm NOT against the idea at all, just don't see the point.

Maybe there'll be a VIP mode in which one player on each team is a known historical figure (or just king for knights, a daimyo for the samurai, and a viking ruler for vikings) - in which the other members must attempt to protect theres while also attempting to assassinate the opponents.
