Mods will be insane! it will definitely have mods!
Mods are a good idea.
Unsure
Highly unlikely to have mods, not a good idea.
Never happening. Pointless.
Heya,
Is it just me or does For Honor look like the LoL or well the WC3 killer, if it ships with decent modding support?
Well I dunno maybe not, actually.
But I just imagine the engine and current features (as seen on videos) being warped and wrangled by all kinds of mods.
Ofc it would need much more raw content for this to be viable (the current amount of factions and player characters are too limited for something in the scale of Dota 1).
And I highly doubt that ubisoft is interested into making a move like that, I'm afraid it will likely be just another way-too-streamlined MOBA in the current trend of proprietary MOBAs.
But it should be fairly apparent by now that LoL hit the sweet-spot for streamlining, so going beyond that is shortsighted.
And there's plenty of other well-apparent pitfalls...
Even if they would announce that it would have strong moddability, I probably wouldn't believe anyway. But if it happens I think it could be interesting.
What do you guys think?
I'm not too sure about that. I mean there's definitely lines you can draw across both directions. And the melee fighting system is fairly unique as far as team-based MP games go (the closest thing I can think of is Jedi Academy)Originally Posted by Willaguy2010 Go to original post
It is a very underused genre, but I'm not sure if calling it a hack-and-slash is really doing it justice. It's hard to place it in any particular genre at least for me. So that's why I said they're going for shooter/action, because the same audience that enjoys those games will probably enjoy this type of game as well.Originally Posted by KucheKlizma Go to original post
A lot of people call their games all new genres, it's marketing speak. But for this game? That might be true.Originally Posted by Fatal-Feit Go to original post
