Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the postings of people being unbanned because of false positives. I believe even some staff sent out apologizes. It's already been proven that many bans weren't legit.

A clanmate of mine is enduring a wrongful 14 day ban currently, difference is he didn't bother posting about it. If he were cheating, he wouldn't be getting constantly rolled by everything that wasn't grouped with him in the DZ/PvE. Is not being good at this game a bannable offense?

You may have even been lucky as long as 25 years.

We've seen saying this since beta. The majority of players already were scared off over the cheating problem, but I am very, very glad to see that Ubisoft has finally decided to step up their game. Hopefully them finally understanding this will carry over to future titles.

problem is, when you start to exploit something and you dont know its an exploit. or when, for example, someones running around with 100% crit chance, and the devs think that isnt possible, without realising themselves that it actually is without proper testing.

Gaming in 2016 is a very unforgiving world. AAA Games are coming out every 2-3 weeks, and game conventions like E3 ramp up even more hype for future games. The first several weeks are now crucial for any game to develop a lasting impression on players. It's good to see Ubisoft finally follow the lead of Blizzard in implementing a no-tolerance approach towards cheating, but this should've been in the game at Day 1. The Division has unfortunately deveoped a reputation that Ubi-Massive is trying very hard to shake off - i.e. "a buggy game that is full of hackers and glitchers and gankers."

steven avery is innocent. twice in fact. and he's spent most of his life in prison.
as are the west memphis 3. infact, they are now released, but are still technically guilty of killing those 3 boys, but they are allowed to proclaim innocence. just so they dont sue the county and bankrupt it.

People are glitching the new CM Incursion already. People are still being teleporting out of missions and to a Safe House. The DZ is still notorious on other sites for its ganking. The actions they took to ban some people for hacking won't ever change the other issues.
Now people are getting the new 240 gear the easy way and Ubi hasn't disabled it until they can fix it. Those who glitch are once again getting rewarded just like the last time. Lather, rinse and repeat as the saying goes.

Sadly, there are way too many innocents in prison. Mandatory minimum sentencing is also responsible for undue overpopulation of prisons.
