    Custom Track Challenges

    Decided to make this thread because I'm pretty curious about something. The game has been out for over 2 years now, so i was wondering, what is the reason behind not allowing custom track challenges?

    The Logic tiles for challenges already exist, and appear very simple to use. The only thing that would really need to be added would be an option in the game mode settings menu where you would be able to set the text for each challenge, and maybe a check box that enables challenges so that people can choose if they want them or not.

    This would be an amazing way for the top builder to add more replay value and/or Easter eggs to their tracks, whilst also allowing the rider to keep track of the challenges. Sure, they can be done now if you have a vast amount of editor logic knowledge, but it would be so much nicer to have an official system to create them.

    Is there a specific reason they were never added to the game for us builders to take advantage of, or were they just "not high on the list"?

    You basically just use this tile after a secret or whatever has been found and it will unlock the challenge corresponding to the number chosen in the settings.

    You should play Nova Dark Storms tracks.. He always puts track challenges in his builds, just like RedLynx do..

    I think it would of took a lot of time to implement this to the system but if you do it manually then you can get a better system out of it. Besides, it gives you better practise at the editor this way, for me it did anyway.

    It's not a bad gesture though so it could select the options for the tracks and then when you go into the data for this challenge it can give you the options for how many front flips you've got to do or do a specific FMX trick in this area.

    But this all can be done manually with the editor and coding. Just more liable to make more mistakes this way.

    Resetting to CP off helps a lot for collecting items unless you want them to collect them in one sitting without faults. Specify that you need to do this.

    I use a camera card on a hold RS in button to change my camera and then freeze the rider by using a variable data source tied to my rider and bike as you push in with the right stick the set event turns the variable to 1 and then on release to 0 and verts back to the riders camera.

    This way you can make your own challenge menu and with the letters on the objects menu, you can place them in also.

    I suggest giving it some practise.

    But even better, they should make an actual challenge menu area so when you press pause it brings up a list that you've wrote in, like the track description box for instance. But to make that work with the game might be a tad complicated unless you use Challenge 1 Complete tool card, 2 and 3 and it will automatically send the data through the game this way.

    I feel like people are misunderstanding the reason for this thread. I'm curious as to WHY they have not yet been implemented in an OFFICIAL capacity when the means to do so already exists in game. As one of the few new features that trials fusion brought to the franchise that people seem to actually enjoy, it makes me wonder why we as builders are still unable to take advantage of this new feature 2 years down the line.

    Heck... even the all-stars from the last DLC weren't allowed to take advantage of them... Why is it so important that they remain a RL-only feature when people could be using them as an incentive to make amazing Easter eggs etc. in their own custom tracks. It could only be a good thing for the future of trials...

    I am fully aware that it is possible to make some gimmick challenge system that erases its self after the track is complete, but i have absolutely no desire to create something like this.

    I think it might be a bit too late but I don't see why they couldn't of added it but a lot can be said about a load of additions that haven't gone into the game already.

    This being one that could deffo go into the next trials game *fingers crossed* should be considered and should go in IMO.

    We can only hope that they do bring us features like this in the next game and not some new gimmick that nobody asked for...
