So Watch Dogs 2 is out 15. november 2016 - Where does that leave GR: Wildlands?

    http://www.polygon.com/2016/6/7/1187...te-nov-15-2016

Where does this leave Wildlands? We know it is coming before march next year (because of the fiscal year-thing), and I have a hard time believing Ubisoft will release 2 open-world games close to eachother...

So.. When do you think Wildlands will be released after this information?
September or January seems like the best guess

Ghost Recon should be targeted for different crowd than any of those games. However since it is no longer tactical shooter who knows.

    Then maybe early next year?
One thing left: Ubishop US wrote some hours after the preorder was available the game will release in 2016. Now they say "coming soon". So it seems we should wait until the E3 begins.

The Ubishop originally wrote 2016 because the current projected launch window is the 2016 fiscal year. Fiscal years extend a few months into the next year, such as January to April-ish.

Someone working on updating the Ubishop website probably skimmed the briefing for launch date and saw "2016 fiscal year" and decided "2016" was close enough and that we'd all understand.

Nope. Makes sense to retcon it to say "coming soon".

2017 fiscal year, the 2016 fiscal year is already over.

That's counter to most fiscal years I'm aware of. What does Ubisoft determine as a fiscal year?

Our fiscal years are numbered by the year they end in. The current fiscal year we are in ends in 2017, therefore it's labeled as "Fiscal 2017"

I hope Watch Dogs 2 isn't Ubi's only big release left this year. I was hoping to give my favourite game-makers some money

If they are gonna wait until 2017, it means that the game have been in development for 5 years! Really? Such a big company should not take 5 years to make a game!
