hmm, I remember safehouse is not ghostable, we need to takedout at least 3 guys to not save a hostage, 3 guys to save a hostage and another 3 guys to escort the hostage out, thats at least 9 guys otherwise the mission wouldn't advanced.Originally Posted by SCCUser1978 Go to original post
and the old days "mission-equired KOs/kills" things doesn't even means anything anymore in SCB missions, I ain't gonna bring that to SCB, because with that logic, even airstrip count as ghostable. and whoever came up with that level idea would be proud.
I'll stick with we have only one ghostable level in SCB, and thats American Consumption.
anything that comes close is Detention Facility and Site F with only 1 stupid not-choise and 1 nonsensical qte boss fight.
other than those 2 mission, 9 in safehouse, 9 in the stronghold magical sniper sequence, 6 in estate, anotehr 6 in abandoned mill, 7 in Iranian HQ plus 8 cars, transit yard; 4 in first-person section, another 8 on the train, 9 in LNG terminal, and finally a staggering amount of totally 19 people plus 10 cars you need to wipe out in a single less than ten minute level that is the Airstrip. surely play it your way my @ss.
compare to those, american consumption seems like a happy ghost theme park in the campaign.
It is pethetic that the only thing made american consumption memorable is just the fact you don't have to touch anyone(1 in cutscene)
HAHA, YES! YOU get it!Originally Posted by coltcat Go to original post
That's EXACTLY the problem. I DIDN'T do anything. UBISOFT DID. The game is taking control from me. The game shouldn't be taking control from the player. If you're okay with that, then I assume if I'm on CT coop with you, you're okay with me tossing frag grenades, setting off all alarms to stage 4, killing EVERYONE and then when the place is wiped out, you run your way through the building and say "I'M GHOSTING, I'M GHOSTING!" That's what Blacklist is like. Briggs was like that coop partner you wanted to kick out of the game, but couldn't and Sam was like the Developers grabbing your controller and saying "MY TURN TO PLAY" ****ing up everything you were doing. This is after all the reason they held back on the forced detection sequences in CT and now they're bringing them back. WTF?Originally Posted by commando235 Go to original post
I sure as hell didn't. And ghosting wasn't really a thing until Chaos Theory. The first two game aren't really meant to be ghosted.it still counted if there were "required kills" a la LAX Airport in Pandora Tomorrow.
Yeah, just like Gears of War is ghostable... BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE OUT PEOPLE.Kobin's Mansion is ghostable except for the very end as you can't reach Kobin without taking out his guards first.
Actually its not, every stealth gamer knows that since the dawn of Stealth games Ghosting is:Originally Posted by Tracer_511 Go to original post
Never Detected
No alerts
No Kills or Knockouts or touching the enemy in any way or form
And in some extreme cases, some masochists even include no tampering with the environment (broken lights, leaving evidence of your presence behind etc)
Its been this way since 1998 that's a fact.
Just because Blacklist decides to give you a gold sticker that's says GHOST MASTERY even though you can kill/KO someone and be detected and have enough points it will still unlock GHOST
Its just not, its a stupid design choice and is not ghosting in any way shape or form.
Cutscenes also matter in ghosting, even though there shouldn't be cutscenes in the middle of a missions, that's another bad design choice, its a videogame not a movie! tell your story through gameplay don't interrupt the flow of the game, most of them effect gameplay directly leading to action moments, which in turn ruin ghosting.
GHOST like the name implies is literally being like a ghost, don't exist, not seen, don't touch anything or anyone.
After that we have other definitions like Pure Stealth (Phantom) which allows KOs, Lethal Stealth (Panther)which allows killing from the shadows which still remaining undetected. then we had Mixed Stealth (Hybrid) which allows a mixture of both, a roleplay run so to say, adapting to the situations with lethal and non-lethat tactics.
Many of them and big debates happening on their rules.
But Ghosting is what i said above.
Yeah, sorta, detection still happened in the cutscene which leads to alerted guarts so that kinda ruins it.Originally Posted by Tracer_511 Go to original post
But yeah Phantom it is.
