I was playing Blacklist the other day and ghosted through Abandoned Mill on realistic. Even when I was dying from nerve gas and waddling through the maze of tunnels I still remained undetected. Let me tell you if you ever try to play that level again make sure you knock someone out from behind the animation is pretty ridiculous compared to the normal animation of a quick choke hold. So my question is what is your favorite level to remain undetected? As of right now I'd say it's probably Abandoned Mill.
Forgive me for saying this, but Abandoned Mill (Saw Mill if you prefer) wasn't fully ghostable. unless you forgot the action scene at the end after you were captured and had to take down all the guards with "Whatshisname"
Abandoned mill is atmospherically wise my favorite Blacklist level probably, of course they ruin it at the end however (like every Blacklist level) with the horrible story decision of Sam doing something that Sam wouldn't do, get cocky and decide to play the hero and open the bomb case to get radioactive poisoning, so he can stumble like an idiot and get captured by Sadiq and spew the worst 1-liner ever written "i'm the man who's going to kill u" ...god, i think i died inside just by thinking Sam would ever say that.. Horrible!
I respect your decision, forgive me for being a grumpy fan, but i'm very critical and want the best in the series, and feel the need to voice my opinion as clearly, honestly and polite as i can
To answer your thread however, i will make it more interesting and most my favorite GHOST levels in all SC games.
SC1 -- CIA HQ, hands down my favorite level in that game, love it
SCPandoraTomorrow -- Its a tough choice between LAX Airport and the Train Level, Probably LAX though, yes, that would be my choice
SCChaosTheory - Panama bank, no contest
SCDoubleAgent V1 (next-gen lolollo)- Not many levels in that game, Shanghai Hotel, not much to choose from i'm afraid
SCDoubleAgent V2 (old-gen much better) - Its either N.Y Underground or Iceland, i prefer Iceland though, so thats my choice.
SCEssentials - Forgetable game, and very flawed, maybe Belgrade City
SCConviction- hahahaha, NEXT.. srs though, if i had to humor you, i'd choose Kobins Mansion, its kinda ghostable
SCBlacklist - Tough choice, pretty much every level has an action moment in it, I think American Consumption and Detention Facility are the only ones i can say are fully ghostable, i would choose Site F, but again there is this horrible QTE boss battle at the end that ruins it, so my choice will be American Consumption
Abandoned Mill isn't ghostable. In fact, none of the levels Blacklist are ghostable. If you're talking about which level is Blacklist, it'd probably be American Consumption since it's the level that comes the closest to ghosting even though you can't ghost it due to there being a scripted scene. If you're talking about favorite mission to ghost on period, it'd probably be Bank.Originally Posted by Tracer_511 Go to original post
I agree. Atmospheric wise it'd be my favorite, but the fact that - well... you pretty much said why I think it sucks...Abandoned mill is atmospherically wise my favorite Blacklist level probably, of course they ruin it at the end however (like every Blacklist level) with the horrible story decision of Sam doing something that Sam wouldn't do, get cocky and decide to play the hero and open the bomb case to get radioactive poisoning, so he can stumble like an idiot and get captured by Sadiq and spew the worst 1-liner ever written "i'm the man who's going to kill u" ...god, i think i died inside just by thinking Sam would ever say that.. If we're all grown up, we can be critical and call each other names and insults like I do to everyone on here and people can deal with it and not take it seriously. Be as critical as you want, it'll be more effective in getting your point across.I respect your decision, forgive me for being a grumpy fan, but i'm very critical and want the best in the series, and feel the need to voice my opinion as clearly, honestly and polite as i can
Calling names and insults are a violation of the forum rules, which might/will result in a ban, i recommend adapting another style, if/when SC7 is announced this forum will be much more active and we will get a commmanager and mods here, i can guarantee you, your way of having a conversation/debate will not go on for long and you will be banned, and while you can make another account, you will be banned again&again.Originally Posted by EddieTheBunny2 Go to original post
While i personally don't particularly care about which way you go about presenting your opinion, i am in fact an adult and i do more than namecalling and insulting on my spare time, whether its with colleagues/friends/family, this place has rules and i have to adapt to them, like it or not.
Whether or not which way is more effective doesn't really matter, voice your opinion as long as it doesn't violate the rules and you will be fine.
True this forum will more than likely so when that happens we should probably not stray to far from the forum rules just because the current moderator(s) will be more active.Originally Posted by SCAgent95 Go to original post
I believe that it's ok to consider a level "ghostable" even if there is an action scene however in those scenes you are forced to perform the takedowns I believe that those should not count mostly because they are scripted so Site F is the level I still can't wait to master on ghost but because the final boss battle against Sadiq is scripted I don't count it' as being detected.
No need to make 3 posts, you can edit your previous one,
Dont change anything now, just for future reference.
For me as long as the enemy KNOWS you are there, then its not Ghosting, So in Abandoned Mill at the end EVERYONE knows you are there and try to kill you in a gunfight (no ghost) in Site F you are captured and the Bad Guy knows you are there, (no ghost)
a couple of Non-lethal Takedowns are allowed, but the less the better.
Less Scripted Scenes the better, that's why Blacklist sucked (imo) way too much gameplay taken away from the player.
Well if Ubisoft actually kept up with this forum maybe I wouldn't, but they don't listen. They only listen when you call them out on their ******** and then they delete your comments.Originally Posted by Tracer_511 Go to original post
I'll just keep making accounts if they want to do that ****. I can actually get my point across that way, otherwise, they just read what we write and then completely disregard it.
That's as valid as having your coop partner gun all the guards down and you run straight through the level saying YOU ghosted it.I believe that it's ok to consider a level "ghostable" even if there is an action scene however in those scenes you are forced to perform the takedowns I believe that those should not count mostly because they are scripted so Site F is the level I still can't wait to master on ghost but because the final boss battle against Sadiq is scripted I don't count it' as being detected.
YES and that includes knocking somebody out. If the last thing I remember before waking up is some guy strangling me from behind, I'm going to wake up in search for an intruder. For me as long as the enemy KNOWS you are there, then its not Ghosting
No question.Less Scripted Scenes the better, that's why Blacklist sucked (imo) way too much gameplay taken away from the player.
True, I see your point on the gunfight that briggs fights in however when i did it i was not detected i just stayed on the balcony and tazed them. The problem with the newer games is yes the cutscenes and the amount of cutscene/forced decisions that do not allow the person to be a ghost. However, I think in Blacklist while you are selecting your mission I believe if you scroll through the notes for that level, highest level completed on, whether or not you got the HVT, it has a section saying whether you were detected or not you may want to check that out and confirm it but i believe that doesn't count the cutscenes.
