I hope we will be able to discuss and plan our mission before starting.
My example of the opposite of what I'm asking for is the Rainbow Six Siege model. No idea what mission/map until you get a full lobby. Then you get very little time to prep or plan before the mission starts. For a game that is supposed to be about tactical teamwork, it fails to facilitate the ability to plan.
My ideal would be a chance for all players in the lobby to see a common map of the mission. The host would control the pan and zoom of the map, but each player would have a "pointer" they control to highlight their idea of how to approach the mission.
Curious to hear the thoughts of others, as well as any feedback the development team might be able to share.
Thanks.
You'll be able to open the map and zoom in and out like every open world game.
The best thing is to approach the area, dispatch your friends with task to do for planning the attack, get into some high position where you can recon the area with the drone and decide how you're gonna do it.
It's what we've done last year in Paris, I was in a high position with the sniper rifle saying the others where the tangos were positionned.
Wait for E3 for more information about the game content.
Thanks for the reply.
Perhaps my perspective is geared less toward open world, more mission oriented.
But even in an open world, we will have objectives we need to assault, or infiltrate, or overcome in some fashion. What I see in my mind's eye is a group of operators gathered around a map of the objective, planning out their attack. But with modern tech, we don't have to be in physical proximity, we can see the map on our crosscom.
I used to play R6V2 with 3 co-workers. We would sit around after work with sketched maps we'd made, and discuss ways to attack as a team.
Bob, you post up on this door. John you take this door. Any bogeys coming from this way, Chris gets em from his overwatch position. I'll hang back here at this corner, so no one sneaks up on us.
I always thought it would be cool if we could have done that in the game.
I really appreciate the opportunity to discuss my idea, and am looking forward to more info at E3.
Thanks again.
As far as I've been able to tell, this game takes place before the invention of cross-com in the Clancyverse. Nothing from the trailers indicates that the Ghosts are using anything like it.Originally Posted by collegeboyKS Go to original post

I'd like to not see wallhack markers like what kinda was shown in the last trailer with the drone but I'm sure those will be in the game regardless. Maybe on higher difficulty those will be disabled.
It takes place post-Advanced Warfighter. So ot definitely exists in universe, we just have no idea why it's not present.Originally Posted by Cortexian Go to original post
