since 1.2, ive been noticing that i have been getting tons of weapons. and while this is great, it seems that the majority of weapon mods and gear mods i get are from DZ key chests. which are power level 30. i get some power level 32 stuff from named elites, but not that many. atm it seems that the weapon to mod drop ratio (and thats combining both weapon and gear mods together), is about 5 to 1 in the weapons favor.

now i like a good gun, but i also like a good power level 32 mod. can those be weighted slightly higher to slightly more drop than current? because other wise i'll have to resort to crafting them, and i know massive doesnt want that. as it stands, ive not found any decent lvl32 mods that can replace my lvl30s. which is annoying.

either that, or make the DZ key chests have the same HE loot as their respective DZ number. e.g. DZ05/06 can have a 204 with a chance of a 182. loads of mods drop from those. i think that would be a good change.

seriously, where? I haven't seen any weapon drops except purples. I see a metric butt load of armor and mods, but no weapons.

They weighted drops to give what players were crafting the most, gear and weapons. The only places I grab gear mods any more are from the crates.

After you have 5-6 good gear mods, you don't really need anymore. I prioritized Armor for a long time, Crit chance once I was above the armor cap, and now I'm looking for electronics buffs. These are Pretty easy to come by, and I recommend that you buy the mod blueprints in the DZ.

Good guns will always be harder to come by, a lot more RNG involved there. Of the 100's of guns I've picked up from the DZ, I have kept exactly 1, but I don't use it. It's a Brutual, Deadly, Vicious Vector, but it doesn't beat the AUG I crafted before.

Chest content (except for the dz funds of course) is pretty much just crafting mats for me. Would be nice if they increased the chest value for 200+ bracket since it's a higher risk arena. 182 weapons/gear with the chance of 204s here and there would be nice but I guess that might be a bit overkill with the loot?

Are you in the 200+ DZ bracket? They're nearly guaranteed.

If you're seeing purples, my guess is you're not 200+ GS.

yeah that makes sense. and i have all the mods gear mods from the DZ04 vendor, but again, the irony is that i have to craft them to get a good one, as the others simply arent dropping enough. which is also ironic, because if they are not dropping, then i cannot dismantle for mats, therefore i cannot craft. gotta love these catch 22's.
