PVE - Pure DZ grind without rogue hassle.
PVP (Arena) You want battles...you got it.
PVEVP - Keep it the way it is, I like screwing people over.
If I had to vote, a PVE only DZ, or opt out of PVP switch for the current DZ.
I am on the PC, and the DZ is more than dead.
I went into the DZ last night and played for four hours and not one single Rogue. Teamed up with a group of randoms, took down the easy mobs (more on this later), extracted a bunch of loot and DZ caches (most of it was junk). Not one person tried to cut the rope.
Everybody waved to one another when we parted ways and logged off.
I know this seems boring to you testosterone-driven Alpha Males, but as an older gamer... This is how the DZ should be and was pre-1.1. This is because the majority of gamers who bought the game have the same mindset: They want to PVE / CO-OP more than engage in the childish and imbalanced Rogue mechanic.
The only problem is when we tried to take down the higher level mobs and most of us went down in one, to two shots... Even with high "Toughness" (Stamina) and Exotic Damage Mitigation. This is just completely imbalanced and is another "gate" to the better loot. It's like Massive is afraid to let casual scrubs like me get the same thing the exploiters, hackers and 24/7 players get? Even though I went from DZ Rank 0 to 30 in that four hour session, I only got one 204 item... A Final Measure holster. The RNG is just too messed up in this game (and I think they put it back to 1.1 levels after Friday's patch) it almost defeats playing it.
I am an older gamer as well, been playing since the commodore 64 days and i think pvp should stay in the pvp modes. I have never been into taking others hard earned things and don't care to start.Originally Posted by Article_99 Go to original post

as for the OP, why is this even an issue now? Between S&D missions, daily weekly HVTs, normal/hard/CM dungeons, incursions, there is plenty of roaming around from mob to mob, boss to boss now outside the DZ, and it's basically raining loot outside the DZ, without anyone running the risk of getting shot by another player.
So what's the problem, now?

In case you missed it, the HVT's are not resetting. Also, the only ones worth doing are weekly where as the DZ they respawn over and over again. Same with the BoO still not selling the better blueprints other then the new gear sets which are not even as good as what we would get from the actual HVT's if they reset but didn't this week.Originally Posted by III_Hammer_III Go to original post
If the DZ had a part that was as long, drawn out and horde mode like as the FL Incursion then I might agree with you. We only have the Hard mode of the new one right now anyways.
There still really is no equality between the two. At best they tossed the PVE crowd a bone in hopes they keep playing but the cut scene at the end tells me it was part of the original game, removed and put back in later in an effort to claim they gave us something. Likely it was supposed to have been for the Season Pass holders initially.
