I just recently picked up Far Cry 4 again this pass Memorial Day weekend. I started driving towards the arena to make history when I rammed right into a car of civilians. I panicked and blew up there car killing 2. However I noticed there was really no penalty for killing as many civilians as I wanted I hope to see that in GRW there is a penalty for killing civilians one example being they become less trusting or report you to the cartel when they see you ideas?
The presence of civilians and noncombatants in GRW really excites me. Firefights in urban areas should now have real consequences and weight. From what I've read your relationship with the Bolivian populace is dynamic and will depend on your treatment of them.
Also...I remember a kid playing football in the trailer...I doubt Ubi would let players shoot a kid in their game. They didn't let players do the same in AC3.
Exactly. Urban ops haven't really been depicted in (tactical) shooters to their fullest potential yet. Really looking forward to this game.Originally Posted by shobhit7777777 Go to original post
Regarding civilian casualties... I'm not sure what kind of PG rating Ubi is planning to have for this game but if children actually are in the game (not just the trailer), I'm fairly certain they'll be immortal.
Dissapointing but understandable.Originally Posted by Sp--pyBrown Go to original post
The closest we got to an actual urban firefight was in Future Soldier, where you were engaging tangos in a busy Karachi street and the local people were running for their lives. That was a pretty cool shootout sequence, reminded me of the Bank robbery from Heat. The presence of non-combatant NPCs raised the stakes because you had to be careful with your fire...and your rounds tended to overpenetrate.Originally Posted by Sp--pyBrown Go to original post
I'm fine with Immortal kids. Shooting [Redacted] opens a huge can of worms.
Forgot about GRFS. It was a blast without using the wallhack "gadgets"Originally Posted by shobhit7777777 Go to original post
I'd rather not see [redacted] laying on the streets either.
The one mission in Africa with the huge shootout in the streets was a lot of fun. But yeah the sensor grenades did take the fun out of it lol. Also I agree about not wanting to see children be killed (same with animals also) but civilian casualties and other collateral should be seen as a necessary evil sometimes. We shouldn't be punished just on the spot, the relationship with the locals should be what changes, not just -100 because a civilian died.Originally Posted by Sp--pyBrown Go to original post
