    Breaking and fapping

    Maybe a stupid Question: I sometimes got some problems to change from breaking to fapping when i end up with an Endo on an obstacle. Do you guys use the trigger for breaking, or do you just use the Button from start? But maybe it's – again – just something to get used to. :-)

    Personally, I use the trigger for braking, but I use the button for fapping as I find using the button a lot quicker for this technique. Probably the same for 99% of people that do this too. It Defos is a skill, and it does need some time putting into this to get it to 'feel' right, and to get comfortable with doing this.
    The fapping is just momentum after all, so it needs to be done as quickly as possible.. When you need to 'Fap', you need to keep your acceleration trigger down fully, and tap your brake button as fast as possible, while using your balance skill too. This is the most used technique for this I think..
    Practice it for sure. You'll eventually get used to doing it, to the point that you will do it without having to think about it.

    I use the trigger for "slight" braking and the button for immediate stop or flip to fender grab etc. Only use button for fapping. I also only use the button when performing endos because its easier to get the timing right.
    I do pretty much the same with throttle. Trigger for slight gas and button for full gas. But I think i might be alone playing like this? lol

    Yeah. I use the Button too for fapping. My Problem is, that when i jump up to a ledge or something, using the trigger to land on the FW, but then realize i have to fap to make it up i always struggle to «change the grip» from holding the break trigger to holding the gas and fap on the button, this mostly happens when i don't know the obstacles :-) i realized that when i do know it, it's much easier to not let of the gas and brake with the button. But i can't pull that of instinctetly yet :-)

    I think that's just a matter of practice.

    I use the button for gas and the trigger for braking. When I have to fap I use the trigger for gas and the button for braking.

    Just a question for anyone who knows; Is it necessary to have full throttle when fapping, do you fap quicker or does it all depend on the speed of bashing in that brake button?

    I think its necessary to have full throttle because when my Right trigger broke I could only achieve maybe 70% throttle and then the fapping wasnt as effective. But when I started using button for gas the fapping worked alot better.

    If you play on PS4, the new firmware update allows for button remapping which can be really helpful for fapping. I mapped the square button onto L1, which I find a lot easier to mash quickly Otherwise I use L2 for breaking. (L2 is just way too annoying for fapping. I own a few ds4 controllers and the build quality of the triggers is all over the place. Some are incredibly sensitive and will register a press from the smallest amount of pressure which is nice for throttle control, but miserable for fapping because you essentially have to completely remove your finger from the trigger or else it'll just think you're giving it one input.).
    Full throttle is helpful for building momentum while fapping, though using a small amount of throttle in combination with braking can be useful for hopping around on your front wheel.
