    Possibility of the OICW Appearing?

Who else would like to see this gun useable in Wildlands? It would be one of the greatest callbacks to the original game, since it was the signature gun of Ghost Recon before the ACR. It would be a pretty interesting gun also, 30 round 5.56 rifle with a bullpup 20mm grenade launcher attachment. Who else would like to see this?

Nope. Off course they could add it in a DLC, just for you

Wow thanks for the constructive comment that really added to the discussion -_- I guess people like you are just set to negative by default.

I...don't know. It would be nostalgic, but I don't think I'd want to see it in it's full capacity in regard to the PvP. That weapon system had other features too since the grenade launcher was an airburst, and you could hold the weapon out around corners to shoot without exposing yourself. There's a really, really, really big bag of worms that could be opened up by including this weapon. If it was ONLY for the campaign and not the PvP I would be receptive to the idea.

I'd be good with only campaign. Or limit its abilities in PVP. I really want to see some modernized version of that. Sorta like the SC-20k from Splinter Cell I guess.

I hope so and I would love to see airburst grenades as well.

Combining the weapon systems never really worked out. There's a reason no military actually adopted the platform. A normal rifle with an under-slung rail mounted grenade launcher is typically a much better solution. The OICW kinda broke off into individual parts, the XM25 airburst grenade launcher stemming from the grenade launcher portion, and the rifle ideas taken into various other projects.

I'd rather just see an XM25 alongside some normal guns personally.

Tom Clancy games are generally more realistic than others. The OICW or XM-28 didn't make it to production. It was discontinued for use by the military. The weapon is big, bulky, and to heavy for infantry. In my opinion, a weapon that was discontinued after the prototype should not be in the game.

This is why I was set to negative by default;D I don't know, there's just something immersion shattering about having an early-2000's prototype weapon in a 2019 setting. I think the traditional launchers like the M203, the HK M320 standalone, and the MK19 (and maybe the Russian counterparts) would serve the same function without looking weird.

As far as having prototypes in the game, I'd rather see prototypes that are currently under development, like the MDR from Desert Tech.

They could add it in a DLC... Am I wrong to say this?

The more I think about this the more I'm entertained by the idea of making these old experimental weapons as campaign unlockables. Would be interesting to find incredibly rare weapons in the hands of the cartel. I could imagine sociopathic cartel leaders to have quirky weapons as trophy/status trinkets. I'd even be ok with just having them as observable collectibles that you can hang on the wall of a safe house as your own trophy for progressing through the campaign or something.
