Can't we argue, however, that all the Ghosts missions have been "black missions?" In every game so far, they have always had American flags and sometimes the ghost patch (with the words ghost written below). I do like the new look though and it it feels appropriate given this new era of the Ghost Recon franchise. However, it seems silly continuity wise since the Ghosts in Future Soldier are still using the old design.

I'm digging the new skull. Maybe just patch it to one spot on the gear however.

It all depends on the situation really. In the first few games the Ghosts were operating "officially" to combat an organized enemy force in a host nation that, as far as I can tell, mostly welcomed US intervention.

In this game, it's entirely possible the Ghosts were deployed without the Boliva governments invitation or knowledge.

Well, The Ghosts are in Bolivia without the Bolivian Goverment knowing about it, why would you break the surprise when you are attacking? Besides, we know Santa Blanca has some insider in the goverment otherwise it wouldn't survive this long, which if the government knew that a spec-ops unit is working in their country, so does the cartel

I don't know...there are not enough words to describe how little I care about a logo. It's cool, but there are so many other things that caught my attention that are more important to me.

It's good and all but right now I'm more interested in seeing gameplay and learning about multiplayer

MACV-SOG (they are the closest thing to Ghost Recon that's ever been detailed extensively) during the Vietnam War wore an unofficial patch, and it was quite detailed with the unit designation. Are we even sure if the Ghost Recon unit is still under Army Special Forces command or if they've been made their own unit under JSOC?
They report directly to JSOC its on the website under the "Your Ghost" Tab

I saw that. So I guess they're their own branch now. Sorta how like in Splinter Cell, Third Echelon was reestablished as Fourth Echelon and separate from the NSA but still under the Intelligence Community.

I was hoping to find a more politically correct expression as to how I feel about it and lo and behold... I found it
