If I couldn't have full character feature customization for my teammates I would be content with a stock of characters to choose from as well. That would be better than no choice at all. I see what you're saying about the RPG thing, the last thing I want is for this game to go down the RPG road, but that problem could solved if they used a default voice for every character you create.

I'm quite fine with silent protagonist, where I can set the char stats for myself according to my playstyle, and I think that's how GRW's approach is, going for options everywhere. besides, I hate those characters where it's having a really difficult option to choose, like wth... Rorke in CoD Ghost(crap game) could be saved if Elias just think fast enough to switch his hand the the part where he can pull Rorke unobstructed... I'm more of that guy that if given options to save one of 3 things, I'd save them all

I love games that let me choose what I want to save. And I'm like you I want to save everything even if it's harder

Forcing me to choose A or B makes me cringe and not at all immersible in my book. Some of the back stories on some games are just very cheesy and put there like an afterthought. I wish they would take a bit more time with the story in the Campaign because, aside from not playing MP, I believe they have also dumbed this part down.
