The real question is how did this get by the devs, qa and receive sign off for a release?
**** happens in software, somethings more obvious than others. I am not condoning this, rather sympathizing as I work for a software company and have seen break downs in communication over the years. It's a shame a glaring oversight like this made it into production, although this could be a build issue. Not sure how they merge code but at some point it should have been merged and retested.
