When you load the game it takes you to the start-up menu where you can choose between "new game", "load game", "multiplayer", "survival", "zombies" (joke), etc. You choose "new game" and are taken to a character customization menu. Here you get to customize your character's features in fine detail (including tactical beards of course), as well as your 3 AI teammates.

Once finished you click start and the game fades to a black screen to load. All of a sudden you hear a voice coming over the black screen telling you to "wake up". The screen goes from black to a first-person view of the ceiling with a man standing over you. He tells you "the briefing is in 5 minutes." Your guy sits up and you realize you're on a cot in the corner of a hanger on some american airfield. Inside the hanger are several military personnel hustling about doing their duties. You see a small briefing area at the far end of the hanger where there is a white board, projection screen and some chairs. Outside the hanger door you see an idling C130. You stand up and as you do the camera transitions from FPV to TPV and you notice you're wearing TDUs. You walk over to a makeshift coms center near the back of the hanger and access the laptop. Here you invite a friend to join up. He accepts and spawns into the hanger. The two of you walk over to the briefing area where the guy who woke you up (some CIA spook) is waiting. You're prompted to take a seat and when you do your two AI teammates enter the hanger and sit down in the remaining chairs.

The spook then begins his briefing about your black ops mission to Bolivia using the projector as a visual aid. He gives the basic plot of the game but doesn't go into too much detail. He tells you the CIA contact in Bolivia will give you a situation report when you get there. But what he does tell you in detail is how you are getting into Bolivia. Basically, the government is so corrupt and paranoid that four americans of your stature crossing over the border would be grounds for immediate interrogation. So you are going to be doing a night time HALO jump into lake Poopo (or whichever lake is in the game's map). With all the drug mules in the mountains, this DZ is the most appropriate for an unseen entry. A RIB will be going out the cargo bay door with you. You'll rendezvous with the RIB after splashdown and make your way towards the shore closest to the checkpoint. Once approximately 200 meters from shore you will ditch the RIB and use the draeger rebreathers to get to the beach undetected - making your way up into the tree line. You'll then hump it through the jungle to the waypoint where you will find four dirt bikes hidden in the foliage. There you will change into your civilian attire and bike your way 2 klicks to the safe house. There you will meet with the CIA field agent and set up camp. The spook tells you to report to the C130 outside after you've selected your load out and "re-familiarized" yourself at the range behind the hanger. "Dismissed".

You and your friend stand up and walk back to the cots where there are also some lockers and gear bags. Here you select a pop up menu to modify the attire and gear you'll be putting on when you reach the dirt bikes in Bolivia. You also select and mod the weapons you'll be equipping for the jump. Each of you do the same for one of the AI teammates. Once finished you and your friend head through the hanger and out the back door to a tactical shooting range. Here you are prompted to familiarize yourself with all of your in-game controls. When you are done, the two of you walk back through the hanger and out to the C130. You board the plane and a cutscene shows the plane taking off, then it fades to a loading screen.

The screen fades back into a cutscene of the C130 flying at a high altitude over Bolivia in the dead of night. The cutscene ends and you and your team are in the cargo area geared up and on standby for the jump. The only light in the plane is filtered red. You can hear the humming of the engines in the background. The four of you are wearing black jump suits, black parachutes, the draeger rebreather on your chest, black fins strapped to the back of your legs, your gear bag between your legs, black helmets, breathing masks, and of course your weapons. The RIB is also staged and prepped in the middle of the cargo area with its parachutes ready for a static-line deployment. The 30 second warning is given by a crew member and he opens the cargo bay door. A rushing sound of wind pierces the ambient noise of the engines and a view of the black void slowly appears in front of you. You see the clouds below glow from the light of the crescent moon and stars above. The jump light turns red and the RIB gets a head start down the ramp where it launches out into the blackness of night. You barely see it's parachutes deploy before it goes out of view below the plane. The four of you line up single file facing the launch point - the two AI's in front, then your friend, then you. Everyone activates their GPS so the boat can be located on a radar that appears on the HUD (this is possible because you are wearing a visor on your helmet). The light turns green and one after another everyone makes the jump into the dark Bolivian sky. (The gameplay continues as described earlier in the briefing).

For me, that would be the perfect kick*** intro into this game!
