    Pre vs post level30 DZ

    Hello all

Can I ask how the post level 30 DZ compares to the 25-29level?
Sure, I've been shot from behind perhaps once or twice, taken down at an extraction once when not reading the warning signs properly and a 4 man group picked on me solo this afternoon (before you all say group up- I tried but got bored of waiting), after which I went back in and killed the one that had put me down....and yes his mates did catch me up and do me again lol. So overall I've not been totally shafted repeatedly.
Came across three other solo players in the same instance and ended up grouping up...we even helped one other lone guy extract and provided overwatch and crowd control for him/her! How care bear are we?

So- I find the DZ to be good fun, often find random decent people to group up with and if I get downed by a rogue, well that's part of the DZ. Have managed occasionally to even get my own back. The question is really to what extent the new level 30 DZ experience differs from this? Should I just not bother and stay level 28/29?!

    Would value your thoughts...
    Cheers
    RJ

We miss an important intel here ...

which console are you (seem obvious not pc)?

btw on console DZ is pretty much the same ... except for the overgeared rogues that gank low level (0-160) DZ but you can easly avoid them and have maybe 3 to 5 bad encounter per week...

on other hand on pc you better not enter the CheatZone

    Sorry- I'm on PS4.
I guess I'm just considering if going into the end game is worth the input, particularly as I quite like the DZ at the moment. I'm a casual player and enjoy being social, not so keen on having to uber-farm to get high end gear whilst getting repeatedly gangked!

You didn't say what platform but for PS4, you have to catch an off hour not to find rogues. If you are low gear, like I am around 059, you can generally handle DZ1 and DZ2 somewhat for NPCs but you will most of the time find rogue groups hunting players in these zones. Sometimes two groups at once. All overgeared so even groups of low geared players to the zone don't stand much of a chance. Leveling up is slow and difficult as I'm rank 46 DZ. Fund lose hurts a lot. When I was level 29, run into two veteran and 4 elite NPCS and got no drop, no keys and only funds from one of the six NPCs on death. Promptly attacked by rogues right after the encounter with another evening being a lose for advancing.

Right now, I don't find the zone post level 30 remotely fun at all. I'd say stay level 29 and build your character with the best purple 29 gear and weapons you can find, then venture in the DZ post 30 if you want. Might stand a better chance. Right now, I've started an alt, who I will gear with my main, for use in the DZ down the road. One where I don't care about DZ rank and just go after other players.

Bottom line for the DZ, not matter what bracket you enter, there will be overgeared rogue groups hunting low geared players, mainly solo players as there aren't many players going in the DZ anymore. Currently, if I came across say, 7 players in the DZ, six will be rogue and maybe 1 might be someone to hook up.

Waiting to see what affect the 1.2 patch has on the DZ. Afraid the patch will make it even worse for the lowest post 30 bracket since it will be 1-200 now, if I remember right.

Thanks for the replies- I guessed as much! Think I'll just try to maximise within level29 and see what effect the update has....

The DZ isn't as bad as they make it out to be. Honestly the gear score 160+ bracket isn't really that bad. I've heard some people on this thread claim that the lower DZ brackets are actually worse than the higher ones. In my experience they are about the same.

theres always loads of people just doing their own thing and not going rogue. every once in awhile you'll be in a server where everyone seems to be going rogue. i recommend to just leave the DZ if it feels like to much rogue activity is going on and you're solo. then agin sometimes people are too bothered chasing rogues to go rogue on solo players anymore. so really sometimes lots of rogues can not be a bad thing.

overall the DZ is the only piece of this game that has any variety. its loads of fun. every game has moments when you get wrecked and it sucks. just move on and try again

PS4 user here. Pre 30 DZ is the best indeed. Met people and we just ended up working together most of the time.

I'm not sure about Level 30 DZ but I'm planning to steer clear from it when I decide to turn 30.
