OK, I am very new to The Division online playing, so maybe this has been brought up before (I searched and found nothing), but this strikes me as shockingly-bad AI programming when NPCs spawn camp.
I went online and used matchmaking and was connected with 3 other players. We were in the Hudson Refugee Camp map where the actual refugees are, and there are waves of NPC flamethrower-wielding baddies. Well, four of them advanced to our spawn point and literally camped there, so the four of us literally spawned on fire, fell to the ground and burned. Over and over and over. Difficulty was NORMAL.
I tried repeatedly to run through, run back, but the instant any of us "materialized" in-game we were on fire. After 8 or 9 deaths in a row like this I bailed out of frustration.
Does Ubi know about this? Back in the day spawn camping was verboten, and considered the ultimate in bad sportsmanship. I guess anything goes if NPCs are programmed to do it.
Very disappointing Ubi...

I also played a game whose initials start with "SW" and is published by EA last night, so I had them on my mind.
Cute, but does not really answer the concern.Originally Posted by sandpants Go to original post
Maybe I'm too "old school" (been playing vid games since the dawn of Boot Hill in the mid-70s) in my thinking, but I do find that to be really bad AI programming.
Dunno if Ubi has reps trolling these forums, but consider this negative feedback if they do.
