    Toughness is the new damage midigation + health. But how does it work?

    Does the "armor" number that I see on gear add up to some arbitrary percentage of 65% ? This seems like a big deal. Is it a big deal?

    It's Effective HP basically if I understand it right

    if you have 100,000 hp and 50% armour mitigation then it will take 200,000 damage to kill you which basically means you're toughness is 200,000

    probably factors exotic reiliance and other things some how as well but not 100% certain

    Health / (100 - Armor%) x 100 = Toughness

    It doesnt factor exotic resis/other resis.

    The only thing that bothers me is the guy playing the new incursion had 244,000 toughness,yet a level 32 veteran sniper took 60 percent of his health in one shot,exactly the same as it used to be.

    I think it's just a number and we will have to look at stats to find actual Hp.

    Either that or enemies take a percentage of health,if that's the case it dosent matter if you have 50,000 toughness or 500,000.

    That's because nothing changed except for how information is being displayed. The change was meant to help players understand the relationship between armor and effective hitpoints.

    Hit points from NPC and we don't even know what their damage output is? So lvl 32 rushers hit for 225,000 toughness. This new stat isn't going to affect PVP at all, it will still be what your base health is.

    I like they added it to one of the main 3 stats because armor mitigation is pretty much the most important stat yet many people Ive come across had no clue what it was because its tucked away in a stat tab

    I'm guessing it's basically a total hit point calculator like someone else just stated

    You forgot the part where accuracy makes it go up for no apparent reason.
