crafting
---------
yet again, all the new changes are designed to kill and loot. crafting was nerfed. i still think that this is wrong, as its going to get to the point where its totally redundant, and not worth being in the game. for me, it needs to be at least on par with farming for loot. and its again the giving people alternatives to gearing up. does it need to be how it was at the start? probably not, but as it is now its almost to painful to craft. middle ground maybe required.
Phoenix credits
-------------------
this is a proviso from whats changing in 1.2. but as it stands, worthless. only the BoO takes them, and the selection is poor.
firearms main stat
----------------------
its a well known fact now that loading up on electronics and using talents / skills is the way to get insane DPS. this has made firearms largely useless, other than to activate weapon talents, which in itself is a counter to dps with electronics as if lowers your skill power. so as it stands, fire arms only lowers your potential dps output. firearms needs some major love to be useful. its even useless for rolling weapons as the dps scales to the current firearms. but it still cannot compete with electronics as dps output is concerned.
any more add to the list.
I get frustrated with crafting as it currently is. The amount of firearms needed to craft 1 gold weapon vs what is available in the "light zone" lopsided by far. Why not put crafting back to where it was or just take crafting out all together? Is crafting going to change to essential in the "Survival" DLC?
I'm still skeptic about getting "better loot" with these new activities. If it works as intended, I'll cap out relatively quickly waiting for the first DLC to happen.
And make sure to keep re-locking those doors we've already picked, to rooms that we've already looted, so we've got something to waste them on!Originally Posted by BeatnikRampage Go to original post
I think Firearms is fine the way it is.
I think it's best to find a middle ground with firearms and electronics.
If you go all out electronics with 40,000k skill power and have little firearms, I think you will have to rely on your 2 abilities to be able to output enough dmg with your weapon.
And if you're at 40,000 skill power your main talent should be the sticky bomb anyway.
But I agree with your other two points.
Crafting needs to be cheaper and we need more options with blueprints. Eg. 240 HE and 240 Gear Set items for crafting. I would prefer to use some 240HE items over gear sets.
Also 240 HE weapons blueprints would be nice also. But maybe in 1.3.
And Phoenix Credits needs to become useful again.
By the way we need a bigger stash... I want a few different sets to try out but don't have enough stash space.
I have never gotten anything out of a locked room. The chest never open.Originally Posted by M0J033 Go to original post
