Dark Zone: At least make me "not care anymore".

    Dear Devs,
    how about the following suggestion:

    - if you are carrying extractable loot and you're killed by a rogue, you will also lose DZ funds and keys.

    - if you are NOT carrying extractable loot and you're killed by a rogue, you WILL NOT lose any DZ funds and DZ keys.

Problem is, at least for me, i can't go in the Dark Zone without running into rogues and getting ganked.
I'm not good at PvP, i generally avoid it and i don't have good gear but if you want to get better stuff, you have to go there, even if it's just for getting better blueprints (grinding out the DZ levels and DZ funds).

But even that i can't do without getting killed over and over again, losing DZ keys and DZ funds in the process. For the casual old me that's really the very definition of "not wanting to play anymore". Now, you kind of need the casuals to keep the game going, right?! The hardcores will keep playing, no matter what, but they are far and few in between, relatively. The casuals will keep it going, but at the moment, if you read some on the interwebs, the casuals are driven away from the game out of frustration (not just about the DZ but lots of complaints about that issue nevertheless).

So, please .. just make me not care about getting ganked anymore by removing the penalty when i'm not carrying stuff that needs to be extracted. At least then i could be like " Yeah, whatever man!" and keep on playing. That's fine with me.

I really want to play, but you're making it kind of hard!
It's a "love / hate" thing for me at the moment. I want to log on, but then i realize i gotta go to the DZ and i end up NOT logging on at all.
That's not what you want, right? And i'm pretty sure i'm not alone on this, at least i hope i'm not.

    Cheers and best wishes,
    DT

    Edit: some typos fixed

It's not that you are not good at PvP, it's just that the devs thought it would be a good idea to make people invincible with different gear.

Look the developers are trying to force everyone to play PvP in the DZ. And making some gear invincible to other players isn't going to do it. The harder they try the more they blow it.

DZ = waste of time.offers nothing to the game.all my build is from crafting or blue prints outside of the DZ anything I did get in the DZ was junk.today idiot rogue players camping outside checkpoints throughout the DZ made the game unplayable when did find a way in too many rogues around anyway made extracting impossible.back to playing doom. 1.2 wont change anything in the DZ to make it easier for solo players just harder.wasted my money on the game and season pass ahh well we live and learn.

Your absolutely right. All the DZ changes in 1.2 are just to get more PvE players into the DZ and with rope cutting at the extraction points to force them to engage in PvP play. All they've done with the DZ has been catering to the rogue faction.

I don't even play the game on weekends it's become so pathetic. I feel sorry for those who can not play it any other time.

    Oh, Checkpoint camping?!
Didn't even know that was a thing now.

But that explains it. Logged on today just to do the dailies, wanted to do the DZ stuff first to get it out of the way and maybe grind a couple levels and some funds. I walked in through a checkpoint, literally took 15 steps and 2 or 3 guys, not turned rogue yet, killed me after i ran past them.

I logged out right after, haven't logged on again today and i don't think i'm gonna.

Last time i tried to "fight" a rogue i emptied an entire clip (SMG is only 182) and it took maybe 3 or 4 pixels of his health.
That was a bummer and i was eating dirt 0.5 seconds later.

I would really like to play, spend (more) money on the game, but right now i'm not so sure.
I just hope they get their "improvements" in order and sorted somehow, i just want the game to be good and fun again, as do many others i think.

    Cheers,
    DT

    1. Making a crap of a game including poor, unbalanced, player lvl gap, broken, end-game PVP
    2. The overpriced game with unsatisfying ending*
    3. Customer service / support of it's product is minimal*
    4. Poor network code and the decision to use client side
    5. No anti-hack for the game before shipment (one would think that would be within the top 5 to get things in place before release, I would like to know who the Joe shmoe that decided not to incorporated it)
    6. Not Banning Hackers Permanently? " just a minor suspensions"*
    7. Glitchers and game exploiters? punishments? taking back the items maybe? nope: "just a minor suspensions"
    8. Game has really no replay value for casual players or to stay and grind in the DZ with a broken DZ-PVP system, plus crappy random loot drop, crappy random crafting rolls.
    9. The story wasn't very interesting.
    10. The characters weren't very interesting.
    11. The enemies AI were too much of the same, no different or change of tactics*
    12. Bosses aren't even bosses they're just bullet sponges that do nothing interesting other than just shoot at you.
    13. The collectibles aren't worth hunting for.

In Steam for the division at it's peak over 100k now there is around 5,000 -10,000 active players plus only 20% reviews are positive the other 80% are in the negative. On Raptr for the division at it's peak over 200k now there is around 1,600 - 2,000 active players. Is there a need to go on?

The main problem for this game is the PVP, you can ask anyone or see in the forums. This game's PVP design is killing it's own playerbase.
The PVP design / mechanics need to be removed, trash, burned to ashes and then buried and a whole new PVP system. But since the Dev's are too cheap to replace the whole system even after they got a butt load of money. Here are a few PVP problems and suggestions to fix the current PVP system.

Problem 1. Player is ill-prepared from the start for PVP after reaching lvl 30 at endgame. Starting off in lvl 30- PVE Gear, the player is already out matched in Guns, Armor, Gear, Health....etc

Solution: PK Shield: "Limited number and earn as PVE rewards from Missions" (Basically you can not be killed by Rogues only by NPC's)*
Once activated, it offers the player one 24hr protection from being PKed from any players in the Dark Zone.
But if the player deactivates the PK shield they will lose what renaming time they had left on it. Should be offered as a reward for completing the Game, PVE mission daily or weekly.
2-3 PK shields a week should be fair, it doesn't effect any outcome of the "Farming" in the Dark Zone. Doesn't effect the air drops nor drops from the enemies because you will still have to fight the NPC's to earn the drops. It is also cost effective than having two Dark Zone servers set up for PVE and PVP.

Problem 2. Player will be unable to defend themselves against any opponent and most likely 1 shot and killed from a unknowingly non-hostel that didn't show on radar until after the player died then showing non-hostel turning rogue. (unbalanced player gap in level, gear, weapons, equipment, mods...etc and bad pvp design)
Problem 3. No level brackets or restrictions for High lvl / rank PKer / Rogue against low lvl players (unbalanced and bad pvp design)

    Solution 2 / 3: Pk level restrictions
No Pker / Rogue can attack a lower level player (Full Inventory / average base on stats from weapons, armor, health, mods...etc must be same level or higher. “Optional” Any lower level PKer can attack a higher level if they so choose to do so and best of luck.

Problem 4. Friendly fire activating rogue. (bad PVP design and since this is not a true FPS title)

Solution: PK Activation / toggle on-off key: (Most MMORPG games have this option for PVPing.)
In order for a a player to turn Rogue / PKer another player they must activate / toggle a key to allow them to PK. Instead of friendly fire being the activation or as another player crosses or lags into into the cross-fire either by choice or by accident.
    Non-hostel = white
    Potential hostel = orange / brown / pink...etc
    PK hostel = red

    Additional options:
PK list: (Most MMORPG games have this option for PVPing.)
The list will show up on the player's HUD of who PK them last and the list can hold 10-15 names. That way the player will know who and not confuse another player that has a similar name. The player should also be allowed to tab the name of the PKer and it will auto highlight the PKer on radar and show on the HUD screen.

    PK Revenge:
The player should also be allowed to kill the PKer (even if the PKer cooled-downed and is again non-hostel status) without going rogue and the player is able to wipe the name off the player's PK-list. Think of it as Vigilante justice

    Permanent Death
    : 24hr character death
If a PKer turns manhunt and a non-hostel kills the PKer (not another Rogue PKer). The pker's character will be unusable in the character load screen, that player must use the other characters they have left to play.

UBISOFT design the game so that when the players reach max lvl 30 from storyline, they are basically forced to either replay the mission's over and over and over again with no real gain in their stats or play in the PVP Dark Zone with end game PVE gear (very unbalanced) that is under par and really doesn't do anything.*
(Don't forget solo players, so far the “End Game” PVP is not cutting it)
Then the player (with that PVE gear) has to try to farm for better equipment and material for crafting and maybe earn some DZ coins to earn PVP blueprints, drops, gear...etc which isn't very much.

Ubisoft should have made "All PVP Players" have weapons, gear, stamina, skills @ endgame level 30 stats which would make it Balanced, Equal and Somewhat Fair PVP experience. The current items with all the grinding, gathering material, crafting, air drops and rerolling would be for the high level PVE Incursions or High Level Mission Challenge Modes since there is no going rogue in those anyways!!!

In the end though, it is not truly worth the effort for a Poor, Unbalanced PVP, Unsatisfying Endgame that is Overpriced. I have 100+hrs on this game as it stands now, there is no fun-factor in this game. I've uninstalled this crap of a game gave it a bad review on steam. I feel burned by this experience, this games does not deserve the Tom Clancy name on it.

The main problem is the developers! They want the DZ to be as it is. I said this in another post but I read an interview with a UBI/Massive rep and he said that the 1.2 update was to bring MORE players into the DZ. BUT they also didn't like how easily we where able to get our loot out at the extraction points so they added rope cutting to stop it and to increase PvP on those who didn't want it. Apparently if the 1.2 patch doesn't turn the game around then it's pretty well done. It looks like they thought that PvP in the DZ was going to be loved and adored by all who played the game. And it would make the game. The DZ IS the end game and it will END THE GAME!

Your properly right about that, but as the saying goes: The customer is always "Right". Ubisoft should just maybe stop and think about the statement for awhile.
