Explanation of how Toughness is calculated in 1.2

Here is a video from MarcoStyle explaining Toughness.

    His formula is:

    Health / (100 - Armor%) x 100 = Toughness

Thanks for posting that, very interesting. Now I'm curious to see his min/max video on how to achieve the 75% armor cap.

There must be more to it than that. What about the other resistances and mitigations?

Worth checking out. Saves calculating yourself. I've been using it for a while. Be interesting to see if the numbers come out the same in 1.2!

That's a different kind of mitigation so it requires a totally different sheet. This is just taking into account basic damage like bullets & explosions. Pretty sure the Devs said Toughness only takes into account Armour + Stamina

Thanks for this, it actually works out the 1.2 Toughness.

    So it's basically Health/Damage Taken%

    E.g. 50,000 health, 65% armour, means 35% damage taken (1 - 0.65 = 0.35). So Toughness = 50,000/0.35 = 142,857.

Seems easier than the other formula.

My pleasure. Stumbled across it on Reddit. There's a couple of useful tools.

It's just a dead number, everyone will have to go into stats to see their actual Hp,instead of it being at first glance.
