    The article is spot on. The "git gud" mentality is one of the most toxic, and ignorant in any arena. The mentality is the opposite of "community." Where communities what to foster an environment whereby everyone has the opportunity to enjoy themselves and improve, the "git gud" agenda is to make sure people are miserable, and leave.

    Why people belong to the latter group is beyond me. I just wish those folks would wise up and realize that having more people to play with is a good thing. Conversely, I also wish they'd all tie from the world's worst toothache.
    Its because they are immature and dumb. These people pour scorn on others for not investing enough time in a game. Funny thing is these are the people who everyone else should feel pity for. Girlfriends/wives, socialising with friends....sorry, actually having real flesh and blood friends and a job are all unknown to these guys.

    All the more reason to disregard the opinion of a reviewer who is bad at the game. As a games journalist, they should have an above-average skill level due to the amount of time they presumably spend playing the games. It is not super difficult to translate being good at one game to being decent in almost any other game.
