I've seen many folks request the ability to re-roll more than one stat on a piece of gear. I agree with this wholeheartedly. However, should that simply not be in the cards, how about this as a compromise?
The ability to UN-roll a stat back to it's original status, then re-roll a new one.
The reason behind this thinking is that it's occurred to me on many occasions, now, that I've re-rolled a stat that is far less beneficial to my build than another would be.
For instance, I was attempting to ramp up the damage done on my tactical pulse and my sticky bombs. But in doing so, I neglected a couple things like armor and exotic damage resilience...which having learned quite a bit about the game now, would be much better things to re-roll. However now I'm in a spot where I can't make any modifications, and not owning the blue prints for this gear, means the likelihood of me getting another piece to replace it where I can customize from scratch, are next to non-existent.
I just think the ability to change out certain stats needs to be a bit more leniant and fluid. Especially since so many guns that have talents that are only unlockable with certain builds centered around firearms, stamina, or electronics. We need to be able to tweak our gear a bit more freely, so that we can play the game in different manners without having to find a way to grind out six more pieces of gear in a given set or two.
I agree, which is why I suggested that if re-rolling a second stat isn't in the cards, perhaps create a means for us to return our original re-roll to what it was initially, and instead re-roll a different one. That way there's no imbalance. It's still just one re-rolled stat. It's just a do-over, of sorts.Originally Posted by RedMadMurdoch Go to original post
Right I find that your choices usually contain what you already have plus the others are usually worse. Such as the armour you a trying to improve or if your after more health it gives you a choice of the exact same states along with others that are worse. In this case you should be able to reject the roll at no cost. I say this because the rolls on that item will not change for a day or two at least that has been my experience.
