Rooftop Combat In The Dark Zone Needs To Be Reworked

These repel lines being the only way to reach the roofs where the rogues run to 90% of the time give the rogues a nearly insurmountable advantage. And if they are smart and set shock turrets at the top then its basically impossible to win unless you bum rush them with a full group plus others. The repel lines are too slow. IF ..........IF you even make it up the line without the rogue lighting your head up with 30 bullets then you usually have 4 guys just waiting to melt you and your survivor link.

How to fix it: Id like to see more than one roof connected. Maybe have the areas span an entire block with numerous entry points. And dont just have repel lines as the only way to get to the top. You can have fir escapes or even stairways inside the buildings that lead to the top

Dont even get me started on that area in DZ02 I believe it is with the one single ladder leading up and the empty as alley way leading to the ladder where good rogues can kills you with ease before you even reach the bottom of the ladder

Im all for rogue fighting its one of my favorite things to do but these rogue tooftop battles are just SOOOO Cheap.

Yes, this is an idea I can get behind. I've seen them essentially turtle up on top of the roofs waiting out the Rogue timer.

The irony is in the LZ, there are tons of cool rooftop locations... Wooden walkways, scaffolding, etc... That would provide real fun hunting Rogues and trying to lose Rogue hunters on...

I think tat for every roof that can be used by rogues to hid there should be another one that rogue hunters can use to shoot them. I also agree there should be lots of roof tops open for shooting NPC's and being used by snipers.

There needed to be a lot more rooftops in the DZ, I agree. Part of the reason sniping isn't a thing in this game, is that it's all done from ground level with piss poor vantages. You're shooting from behind cars, with others as obstacles that prevent clear lines of sight. More gameplay in other places that ground level would have been nice.

Some bosses on rooftops, or in parking garage basements would have been nice for generating some firefights other places than on the street.

What's with shooting non rogue players on a ladder or repel rope? Is that not the most chicken feces thing to do in the game. But, I suppose chicken feces tactics are part of the experience, so we plug along.

I would love to be able to equip a rope with a hook on the end so i can go up my own way, silently

When rogues stop running they almost always die. You have lots of good options for assaulting rooftop campers.

And how are you suppose to kill the 4 rogues up in the ladder at DZ2 near west checkpoint?

Maybe if 6 or more guys keep on going them after dying and dying again but otherwise how you are supposed to do it?
