I very seriously doubt a level 97DZ player is picking up purple anything.Originally Posted by Compassghost Go to original post
You're not understanding. The supply drops auto place purples/golds/mints directly into your stash.Originally Posted by The_Quieter_One Go to original post
The player mentioned in the pic above is exploiting the 0-160 bracket by placing very low GS guns on his character and placing everything else in the stash of an alt character. He hit a supply drop and got a 131 purp gun and it raised his GS above the 160 cap.
The guy is just another DZ griefing dbag. Brings his OP setup into a bracket where he is near untouchable then goes around merking everyone. Pathetic.
Agree on name shaming, that is against the rules.Originally Posted by Force58 Go to original post
You are confusing the GS brackets (right now 0-160, 161+) with DZ Zones (1 to 6).
This, you have to remember that supply drop gear is not contaminated. So you can get an upgrade, equip it and be pushed over the current GS limit until you go back thru an entrance.Originally Posted by Compassghost Go to original post
There are two distinct GS brackets to the Dark Zone.Originally Posted by Force58 Go to original post
1 bracket is for players in the 0 - 160gs level. This takes into account everything in your stash to help prevent players from doing what was done in the above captioned picture.
2nd bracket is for players in the 161+gs level. Majority of players should be in this bracket. I helped my friend go from 59gs to 174gs in a day so it's safe to assume after 2 months that most people would be 161+. Problem is people in this bracket can manipulate their inventory to allow them to play in the 1st bracket with players who have no where near the gear to keep up.
This problem will still exist with the new brackets as most people in the 200+ bracket won't want to attempt to go rogue against people of a similar gs so they will just manipulate their stuff to shoot back in the sub 200 group and continue to grief the lobbies as best they can.
So that's how you do it. I'll admit I wanted to do something like myself. I had hoped I could get my GS to around 155 +/- and then farm the hell out of bosses in the 160DZ to obtain gear. I thought I would put the gear into my stash and when I had enough to make the reasonable jump to 161+ just switch over. (because, really, who wants to get stuck into the 161+ as a 161? - which is what actually ended up happening to me.)Originally Posted by orthow Go to original post
Aw well - learn something new-ish.
