Unless the developers ge a handle on this the game will die. Players will only put up with this situation for so long and eventually they will find a game they actually enjoy playing and the gankers will be left here wondering why there's no one in the DZ to kill but each other. I know I had been playing with about a dozen other players on a regular basis but over the last two weeks that has dropped to two and this week they only been on occasionally and if things do not improve with the 1.2 update they will also stop playing the game.
I was on the PS4 today and noticed that there where two groups of rogues in DZ1 & 2. But they where mostly in DZ 1. One group was parked at the north entrance and the other one was running between the two extraction points in DZ1. I went to DZ 5 & 6 solo and fought rogues. I died twice but at least I could go back and get my dropped keys and credits! I saw other players but no one was going rogue and they where mostly solo or in pairs.
Well, son. Prepared to be be annoyed further.Originally Posted by Radsy. Go to original post
They can play wherever they want. My gear score is currently 214. If i switch my sidearm to a green one I can buy at the base of operations, I drop to 198. Viola. I'm playing at the lower rank zone. It's easy to game your gear score.
All of us sub 200 "n00bs" will no longer be in the same DZ as you 200+ mf'ers. No no. You'll have to drop your gear score to below 200 if you want to keep farming the n00bs while they farm their tins of beans. And by dropping down a level, you'll become a worse ******* than you already appear to be. Cheers.Originally Posted by AkeeraTV Go to original post

There is not much to do about this right now but patch 1.2 should help a bit. New bracket will keep high level players busy for a while. They might be coming back to lower GS bracket by artificially lowering their GS but it should take some time till they get bored of high-end DZ. PvE players, and solo too, get Search & Destroy and High Value Target missions, which should keep them busy when DZ is overpupulated and too much PvP is going on.
Last advice, if you get killed by rogue, leave DZ and dont go back. There is no point in dying repeatedly, losing DZ exp and funds. Just take a break and come back later or next day.
I have nothing but the same experiences in the Dark Zone. Literally every other player I meet only tries to do one thing, kill me and steal stuff from me. While I don't even HAVE ANYTHING ON ME to steal. Maybe I'm a weird type of player but if I see some guy trying to get some of his loot extracted I'll gladly leave him to it. Because I want to earn my high end gear in another way. More about this later.
Mind you, I am not into this game for the PvP bit. Honestly in my opinion I think the Dark Zone is a real bad example of how PvP should be implemented. In my opinion the Dark Zone is just a place where people can feel good about themselves for being douchbags to other players. Not my idea of having fun. But to each their own.
However, for people like me, who are playing this game mostly on their own the Dark Zone is not fun at all. I feel that the Dark Zone should be different but apparently Ubisoft only cares about keeping this in my opinion mediocre PvP bit going. I would really like to see some changes there.
My idea is to add a more diverse COOP setting to it. Make the DZ in such a way that people can choose to go in for the PvP itself or just to face off against AI, and at the same time allow everyone (PvP players and vs AI players) to loot the same high end gear and such. Not everyone has the same interests so yeah, that could be possible I think.
Or, if Ubisoft doesn't want to implement it, make it easier outside the Dark Zone to actually get better gear. Ubisoft again is aiming way too much on competition, and shutting out players from the best gear available because they don't necessarily want to play PvP. Ubisoft, for once stop trying to force your PvP down people's throats because that's how this all feels to me. And with me I bet other players as well. Why don't you finally realise not everyone is actually sharing your idea of competition Ubisoft, and in this case actually find it totally ridiculous how you implemented it.
Just my 5 cents here, hate me for it or whatever but I think others may feel the same way.
And oh...
I guess you are part of that sort of group that likes to go in the lower level sections to get easy kills, and easy loots. It's this type of players PvP doesn't need really...Originally Posted by AkeeraTV Go to original post
Well said. It's people like this that ruin the presence of players in the Dark Zone.Originally Posted by Three Snowshoes Go to original post
Not sure if having the stash boxes in the check points will alleviate some of that. If gear is extracted and ya go in for an ammo refill I'm wondering if the game will dz mismatch ya when ya go back in....we'll see soon enough I guess.Originally Posted by Three Snowshoes Go to original post
To be fair. My experiences in this game were ruined by full grown men that probably have children and a wife... Not killing me but calling me horrible derogatory names because I'm female, or talking in a manner about my two year old child that would land them in prison.
I think very few "children" play this game. It's mainly grown men that have ***** issues.
So, was entering dark zone ran about a block in DZ01....bang dead. I'm in GS 79 bracket in DZ....I see my killer Madammachado with a striker backpack, first wave vector and striker knee pads.....doing the lame hand clap and crap talking. so, I left DZ go to THE WARD to recover and see him there....not only did he raise his GS to 217 from 79, but he went to do waepon damage glitch right in front of me fast switching his weapons (REPORTED). This is the reason why people hate the DZ, because of people like this clown. Its not just his fault but MASSIVE's for not locking the GS brackets and letting people downgrade gear to go to lower DZ brackets to overpower lower players. DARK ZONE is a joke and Massive welcomes this kind of play and doesn't have any punishments severe enough or the right attitude to even try to fix this and other issues that plague the DZ.
