1.2 will make it really easy to get gear...so shouldn't take you that long to be on their level. Also stop quoting DZ rank....it means absolutely nothing. I am rank 93...and at least 60 of those ranks were pure killing NPC's. Rank means nothing other than I have wasted more time farming NPCs than you....that's it....it doesn't mean you are super good.

I guarantee a rank 1 with maxed incursion gear could come into the DZ and absolutely destroy a rank 99

Basically...because the majority of the people the come across are going to be unwilling combatants, they're left with nothing to do but farm these people. Apparently, while no challenge whatsoever, it's enough content for them to stick around. I guess "griefing" IS the content for PvP'ers. They can't say it's for the sake of competition. There isn't any. Honestly, it amazes me that there's enough content in this game for PvP'ers to find sticking around worth it...other than deriving the entirety of their fun from depriving others of it. *shrug* Duno.
THat's why the current bracket and the 1.2 bracket is stupid. THe real calculation for putting players in a zone is scan they max DZ rank across characters and the current gears on the active character in game. If you have a DZ rank 99 character, most likely the other alts of the account is also "geared" out. Those guys need to be in a entire different DZ server. But of course, if that happens and you put these guys against each other, they will be crying because it's not easy mode for them any more.

    I suggested it before.

We need a bank/stash in DZ checkpoints.

I am GS 188/ level 67. And that's ok, I like to level at my own pace. I don't use exploit, hack or cheat to get the latest gears/guns.
Just got in DZ, get jumped by 4 rogues and the one that killed me was GS 210/lev 97. It was in DZ01!
Got out, relogged to get in another server. Go out of the saferoom, killing 2 bosses, collecting 2 key chests. While I was on my way to saferoom for restock, just before I entered, bang, shot, can't enter saferoom. Saw, the rogues on my mini map, pop an overheal, start to run, hit 3 times, pop survival link, run and bang, I'm dead.... my killer, GS 220/ lev 94!!! That's 32 GS and 27 DZ level over me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I was so pissed off. Never been madlike that while playing this game.
If THIS is call PvP, then we don't have the same definition of PvP. This is plain bullying,
What is it in these ******s mind to prey on lower level like that?????
I don't mind having to fight in DZ, but I don't whant to be aremoved target for a bunch of kids, that have been beaten by their fathers while they were younger, that seek revenge and ruining my gaming experience.
I'm always respectful and polite when I post here on this forum. You can check my posts. But tonight, I've had enough.
If the 1.2 bracket dont fix that, I'll quit playing this game for sure. I don't mind having paid $130 CAN for this game and the season's pass. If I can't play this game like I want, mostly solo, next week, I will delete it from my PS4, just to be sure to not be tempted to go back.

I'm a real patient man, but now, it's more than enough. I just hope that the brackets on 1.2 will help a bit.

If Ubi/Masive are not bright enough to come up with a system where you loose EXP/FUNDS when you attack players way lower level than you, they don't deserve to get another d@mn dollar from my pocket.

And if they delete this post and ban me from the forum............I DON'T removed CARE.

And, for all of you, high level players that respect other players, I say BRAVO, for not ruining other player's gaming experience.
lol bully ...don't you mean, "other player having fun as a rogue at my expense"? Bully is such a common word thrown around here for people just ganking others and having fun as the bad guys in the DZ an IMO it really needs to go, or you guys need to grow up a bit. I'm not trying to be an a-hole here (don't you just love when ppl put that in their comment lol) but seriously, I don't think the DZ is for you if you feel bullied by simply being ganked by other players in an open pvp area. period.

1.2 should make things worse in the DZ for ganking but hopefully it will help a bit with the new bracket. If you're just a PVE player that goes in to the DZ for gear / AI rep farming then you will often have a bad time. May I suggest going on reddit and looking up good pvp builds and have two sets of gear that you run (pve and pvp)? I do this already and it helps a lot if you switch to gear with high armor / health when in the DZ. It's not gonna help with gangs of rogues ganking you if you're solo ... but hey, that's part of the fun of the DZ.

P.S. - Don't go in alone and expect to not be ganked. Matchmaking for DZ is pretty easy as if LFG on this site and reddit. Good luck out there.

Get a group and farm in dz 5-6. You are most likely to get jumped in the lower level DZ. I think i have been jumped in DZ 5-6 1 or 2 times during the entire game.

In that context, the game defies logic. How is creating a game that encourages others to tap into the worst of their primeval instincts and act them out benefiting anyone at any level?

Do we not have enough of this content in the entertainment industry already?

Uncle Ben once told Peter Parker:"With great power comes great responsibility"

Look how sad it is that labeling someone a "carebear" is meant to be an insult.

If indeed it is what it seems to be, it is succeeding phenomenally. As the title implies, The Division. To divide.

I experienced Hurricane Andrew in 1992 in Miami, i was 19 at the time. It was pretty much like this, well except for Survivor Link and Seeker Mines. We didn't have those back then.

    This definitively feels "sinister".

I lied about the first sentence.

    Naahhh....

    It's nothing sinister.

It's just Lord of the Flies....with guns.

Players are fleeing the Dark Zone for the same reason that refugees flee a War Zone.

When you create a situation where there is relative anonymity and people are no longer held accountable for their actions (DZ), it always brings out the very best in some people.....

...and the very worst in others.

The sad part about the DZ as a game mechanic is that the game (as you get higher and higher in level) stop punishing anti-social behavior...and starts to actually reward it.

We (3 man) were rogue and running it off and this solo guy sticky bombs us. We kill him and I notice that he went down really fast. We take the rope near the DZ02 extraction to the rooftop and decide to try and get a manhunt going. Sure as day, a lone player comes rolling up and gets sniped to death. Its the same guy. 30 seconds later, same guy....dies again. Now we are manhunt. He comes back for another helping, but this time I ask if he has a mic and he responds very calm and unassumingly "yes". I said "dude what are you doing man? There are 3 of us and we're all high level. You're gonna die. Just run along". He is determined and comes up the rope and stands there as he's gunned down by my team mates again. I told them, lets move to the rooftop over DZ03 saferoom which we do. He comes back and dies again after attempting grenades and sticky. I switch my watch to the side hes coming up and ask him again "what are you doing brutha? You're losing points, money and keys for nothing. Let these guys wear this red off and move on....c'mon bro". This time he moseys off. I discussed with my teammates and decided to help him get his money and rank back and invited him to join us. Sucks he came after us and got killed so much. We never target singles unless they are trying to take our rogue, but this one I felt genuinely bad about.

I wish more rogue groups would extend some courtesy to solo's.....I spent my day dying to 4-5 man teams while playing solo. I know how it feels.
Hilarious, I had a very similar experience last night on PS4.

We were at an extraction point, myself and two others - all of us over 205 gear score, when 4 agents pop into the Extraction area with no bags. I signal the group and we fall back to a very defensible position and wait to see what they'll do. The extraction comes and goes and sure enough they decide to look for us and come around the corner and go Rogue. I won't go into the specifics of our defense setup but these guys proceeded to get wrecked. The last guy runs off as his three teammates are lying dead so we give chase.

He decides to wait on the rope for his Rogue timer to run out and then try to escape - of which I was having none, going Rogue on him as soon as he comes down.

Well, then he comes back and in the heat of an NPC firefight manages to down a teammate, swipe gear and run off. We wait for our teammate and proceed to give chase...we find him and quickly end him noting that he's alone now (guess his friends saw how quickly we took them down and ran off).

He comes back we end him again. He comes back we end him again. He came back tons of times, never once coming close to downing one of us and eventually we go Manhunt. We switched to our Manhunt strategy and didn't see him again.

But seriously what was with this guy? I imagine emotions were getting the better of him, or he's just a dolt.

Guess you two didn't see it. They are putting stashes in checkpoints now, so your requests have been answered.
