And i also see nothing on the PvE side outside of the incursions, because the HVTs have the same loot as the missions already had, onyl the weekly high risk is better and that will most likely be the group one. They swamp the DZ with high GS loot, most likely still 99.9999% junk and PvE stays the same. I see zero reason to paly the game again, i am at 184 and won't be dragged into the worst PvP ever implemented in the history of gaming, so all that MIGHT be interesting is the new incursion and i have my doubts.

now that they dropped the 220gs requirement that was originally marked for the new incursion, gs became much less relevant. when 220 was minimum to attempt new incursion, that means 4 240s and 2 214s, and 3 204s. now, that's not the case. so i can keep running my god roll 163 aug (that i got from a drop rather than a craft) as GS is kinda irrelevant. 204 weapons are going to have higher stat requirements to activate talents. there's still an advantage of running a 163, in that you can distribute stats a little differently, but still activate talents you might not be able to activate on a 204 weapon. if you've got all the stats you need, then run with the god roll 204 aug, but if not, keep running that 163 version til you finally get the stats you need to activate your weapon talents, without compromising your armor or whatever else. in reality a well rolled character, regardless of gs, can keep up with, or straight up beat, a higher gs character poorly rolled. well rolled 163s and 182s will still trump the 204 rng garbage people get, until they get blessed by the rngesus.

Yea I think the major problem with the loot system is the stat variations. There shouldn't be a huge variance in how much firearms your item could have for instance. Its just a lot of headache. Weapons especially shouldn't have as much variation as they currently have with possible damage values.

Without fixing those, it most certainly needs to rain worthwhile HE gear from whatever activity we do.

Totally agree with this. Locking certain values like base stats would do wonders for loot in this game. We already have the talents that pretty much define the gear, no need to randomize the other stat values as well.

what people dont seem to understand, is that gear (including sets), for example, are RNG (firearms, stamina, electronics), on RNG for a 214 set piece its between 494 and 604 for a stat, on RNG selecting 3 major attributes for a chest piece for example, on RNG, minor stat selections, on RNG, attribute selections if any, on RNG on all of those for their own individual ranges.

thats a lot of RNG on a single piece of gear. if they want loot drops to be the main source of upgrades, then more drops need to happen to help balance that out. besides, you'll most likely find that the majority of players are going to be farming in PvE now that were in the 1 - 160 GS DZ anyway. in fact a lot of people are going to be checking out the new PvE activities on patch day.

Pretty stoked for the S&D/HVT thing. I really hope they're somewhat challenging though. Will be pretty anticlimactic on that first one we do if we stroll up to the guy and wipe him out in a matter of seconds without taking much damage, lol.

I think the loot drop buffs will be just about right, the end game becomes about min-maxing and having fun in the DZ. While you are able to get top gear pretty easily, enabling people to compete in all areas (incursion, DZ etc), getting the gear just how you want it will take time.

I do have to wonder what are we going to be spending Phoenix Credits and Dark Zone Credits on now however. Loot can rain all day, but if those vendors don't become more diverse in what they offer for all the grind then those vendors will end up falling into disuse.
