So after reading over the changes discussed at the state of the game update in another thread, I feel that Ubisoft have once again gone too far with the loot buffs, you guys are NOT rewarding the players who have put time into your game.
Now firstly, yes I 100% agree that the loot needed a buff, as it is right now it is absolute garbage...
But putting 214 gear score sets in the 0-160 DZ bracket is ridiculously too far...
Having 214 and 240 gear drop in the difficult high value target missions is a great idea, and having 240 gear drop in the DZ05 & DZ06 areas of the new 201+ gear score DZ is a great idea also, CM incursion should not be the only source of the 240 gear.
However, what about the long term players of your game? I for example have put over 5 weeks of solid time into this game, grinding away every single day, my gear score is 206, not the best but ive taken a while to earn that gear.
Now people who got the game 2 days ago will be able to get to lvl 30, hit the 0-160gs dark zone and get gear as good as mine instantly....
So what benefit do I get for my time spent, what benefit do I get for grinding my way to DZ rank 75 for my blueprints, when now this gear is just handed to everybody so easily?
I'm going to start a new character when 1.2 drops, I bet I can have it geared up in a higher GS than my main character within 3 to 4 days... That is just stupid, you guys have no idea how to run an MMO, im sure the intention is good with your updates, but you always way over-react...
Added to that, what is even the point of the middle DZ bracket after this update? People will jump in GS so rapidly they will go from the 0-160 bracket to the 200+ bracket literally within a couple of hours...
This also negates all 163-182 high end gear, who is even going to use it when there are 214 gear sets dropping everywhere?
Start rewarding your long term players Ubisoft before they are all gone.
I am with you here. I made a whole thread about this the day they said they were going to do it.

Too much loot completely ruins the fun of hunting for upgrades... and as you stated, pretty much kills any sense of accomplishment in building up our characters.
EDIT: They kind of went with my "middle ground solution #2" at the bottom of the OP, but they didn't add near enough named weapons.
I just hope all these drops don't leave us with nothing to do as we have what, like 2 months until the next DLC since Xbox gets it 30 days before us.Originally Posted by ReiShadowheart Go to original post

I see this as a new start for things to come since we saw quite a lot of the gamers who post youtube videos and such boast about their gear score and such early on, and the major divide we got with the games overall gear divide, that caused a lot of grief and dismay from legit players who did not exploit the weekly leader bug during incursion or the older glitches and exploits to get a higher dark zone rank fast.Originally Posted by Gulmarrad Go to original post
Yes it sucks that i will not have that major advantage over other players with less time spent in the game, but i welcome this since it can help balance the scales more, and not be a god among men anymore.
Lets face it we had guys who did the bullet king exploit to the max and the shield at police academy and such to farm the bosses faster, once incursion hit and people got hard mode done they started doing the round the robin leader switch while doing incursion challenge mode to get the 240 gear with in the first 14 days of the new content, and those exploiters and such are who we can thank for this little kick in the nuts revamp of the loot system.
It does seem fair in my book it sucks sure but fair that we get the level playing field now, so yes the exploiters and glitchers got some nice gear at the start and now everyone else has the same chance but the right way.
As to the 0 - 160 bracket getting the 214 chance to drop for them it is fair since we get the people exploiting the current gear score system to enter their bracket anyway, the game as it stands is so divided gear wise the ones who got it the legit way and the ones who exploited a flaw in the system and abused that exploit to the maximum effect and in doing so made a big imbalance in gear.
So again this new loot system is needed due to the exploiting that has been done, and again it sucks for the ones that grinded the gear the legit way and are finally getting 240 gear in all the slots they can, unless someone was just lucky each time to get a new piece they needed for their set they might have had it sooner.
The game's been out 3 months, there are no "long term players". Quite apart from that, unless the devs can negate the advantages gained by cheating scumbags in the first 2 months there never will be any long term players because the game will die. So stop whining, adjust, and get geared up for the coming content which will presumably require GS higher than we've seen so far, since now we're closer to equal footing with the cheats.Originally Posted by Gulmarrad Go to original post
There are so many variables in play now you could spend months experimenting with different builds.Originally Posted by AgentZero.VaX Go to original post
