    Stop Punishing the Good Guys

The Rogue mechanic as it stands gives the advantage to Rogue players. They get to be proactive and don't have to wait until they are shot and almost dead before they can shoot back. Once they get their kill it's pretty easy to run off their Rogue status and reap the rewards for having gone Rogue. Most neutral agents are not inclined to hunt rogues because of the high penalties should they die and the reality that most rogues are highly geared and in groups.

This all leads to players trying to be friendly and act the good guy feeling like they are at a disadvantage and overly penalized for trying to do the right thing.

I don't think it is a good idea to penalize players or trying to be the good guy. You should highly reward them for taking out rogue players but not penalize them when they get stabbed in the back.

Do this and I think you will have a much happier gaming community.

Caveat: I like the dark Zone and I play a lot in there both solo and in groups. I have no problem going rogue on people and think it's a lot of fun. I just think when you're talking about a video game and how it rewards players you want to do more to reward your players that are playing nice.

The problem is a lot of the people in the dark zone have completely bought into the idea that it's supposed to be a place where being a **** is rewarded and any sign of weakness is punished with a bullet to the back of the head. The times I was in the DZ I went in with the idea of being helpful and throwing health packs at people but they pretty much always used the health I just gave turned around and killed me and I just lost all hope for this game.
The DZ is a gaming experiment that has failed utterly and is designed for a style of play I don't think is good for gaming at all.

Really? Rogues has the advantage right? Why dont you go be rogue then?

Killing Rogues = Rewards to neutrals.
Surviving Rogue = Rewards to rogues.

Dying as neutral = lose less XP, less DZ credits compared to Rogue, 3-4 Items max.
Dying as Rogue = lose lots of XP, DZ credits, 9 items if Manhunt.

Simple game mechanics here. Is it that hard to grasp?

I've gone rogue quite a few times, it is pretty easy.

Why are rogues considered the bad guys?!? I think people that instigate and aggravate the hell out of me by shooting in my as$ with a hand gun should be "bad guys", while when I shut em up instantly by turning rogue, I should be a "good guy" because I did everyone a favor.

I'm starting to realize the majority of people whining about the dark zone are just terrible at the game

I get the vast majority of my credits killing rogues. And the majority of the time there's several other players on the server helping you kill rogues.

Rogues are not as big of a deal as people here are making it out to be

Morally ambiguous, that's the best way to describe my DZ time.

Remove the xp penalty for a non-hostile killed by a rogue.

They can steal my stuff, but they shouldn't be able to steal my progress.

    Yep.
Anyone can have a bad few minutes and get killed 3 or 4 times in the dark zone and then they will be spending the next fair few hours grinding just to get back to where they were and that's just going to push many over the edge into playing something else as this is supposed to be a game not something that actively punishes you.
