How do you level up in the DZ with rogues shooting you in the back everywhere?

PC player really wants to know.

Hunting rogues (or on the contrast, going rogue) is pretty much the best way to get a lot of XP, given you survive from either side.

Theres a stat you have to put on your gear mods. Its called Situational Awareness. Or pulse. Either way...you need to buff your Situational Awareness

Thanks Bellas.... but is everyone saying the best way to level up in the DZ is to shoot other agents in the back?

Caution, mostly. I don't participate in the rogue game from either side unless accidentally, and I run solo most of the time now, just reached rank 75 two days ago. Just use the Scrambler pulse, and keep looking around. Avoid other agents as much as possible, and if you can't, then move fast. Moving targets are harder to hit, so just stay on the go.

If you want to hunt rogues or be a rogue, it will go a lot faster for you. I didn't, so it was a long slog to 75.

Nope... well, you get good XP from it.. then again, you need good gear/weapons IMO to be successful at it... which I don't have...

Ran 6+ hours solo yesterday in the DZ going from high rank 72 an made it over 75 finally... (yay BP's...) Dodged more rogues and manhunts than I can remember as well.... watch the map, watch for rogues... trust no one and expect them to shoot you... I HELP other players yes, but even if they're extracting at the same time, I'll pop my survivor link then high tail out of the extraction point...

as BellasaurusRawr said... situational awarness... watch everything and LISTEN to your surroundings...

Just figure out the best working grind routes and keep an eye on the map where the skulls are. Stay as far from them as possible.

When you pass an extraction point, start the extraction, no matter if you need it or not, and move on right away. Always nice to get griefers annoyed from running to empty extraction areas hoping for people with loot to kill, wasting their time.

Otherwise just grind on, getting shot in the back from neutral people will still happen occasionaly, don't waste time for revenge. Only fight Rogues if the odds are in your favor, lots of others going for them etc. otherwise it will most likely just slow your progress.

Dz is most the time just about enduring/ignoring the nonsense and focussing on your grind, got easy to 90+ that way most the time solo or with just 1 good friend.
Its usually better to avoid joining random groups too, they to often just act stupid killing people until you get manhunt on your head, what if you die will cost you the progress of hours. If you end up in a group that acts that way, leave it asap.
On the other hand, if you see a manhunt going on, and enough people going for them, consider to join in. It pays off well to kill them.

Just keep shooting npc, stay away from players, and I repeat keep shooting npc. Try this, add up how many npc kills you need to go from dz 74 to 75, then add in how many kills you lose if you get killed.
