Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Play your own game Devs seriously ......

    PLAY THE GAME YOURSELVES, honestly....

Last week you say in state of the game we wont be nerfing anything we will just buff the weaker items. RIGHT OK!

So lets list the nerfs we know of in the incoming 1.2 patch

    1. Balance nerf
    2. Brutal nerf
    3. Sentry's nerf
    4. Reckless nerf

You just took the 3 best things in this slowly dieing game and NERFD THEM! Even tho it was just a week ago you told us this would not be happening.

You need to play your own game, watching State of the Game its so obvious you guys dont play The Division yourselves therfore i can only draw the conclusion you have no idea what your doing, and the incoming nerfs reinforce you got no clue.

I think you did a 180 on the nerfing because you realize you have nothing new to keep people interested in the game so you are pushing people away from the current meta so they have to go replace all their gear. It's logical this MAY keep people playing a little more but they will just realize its the same **** over and stop.

You also play to increase all these drops and make it so much better to try different sets ect BUT yet again you dont play the game so you forget there is no freaken storage to run multiple gear sets or save items to tinker with later.

I mean seriously, get your head out of the sand and go look at "OTHER" big brand RNG loot games that have overcome ALLL the issues your currently facing, lets be honest your not re-inventing the wheel, its all been done before.

We know they don't play the game because if they did... They would have bent over backwards and put on some lube to keep the PVE player base which is the MAJORITY in these types of games. Not the PVP and no-lifers who min/max within a day and scream, "There;'s nothing left to do!"

All of their knee-jerk reactions have been to satisfy a small part of the player base and they have managed to drive off 98% of the real player base in the process.

Well, done, Massive. I have never seen a game crash this hard on launch TWO MONTHS after it was released. This has to be some kind of record. Not even BF4 and D3 declined this fast. It took about half a year (more for D3) before they did 180s, but The Division has done a tail spin within two months of release!

Reckless and Balanced aren't really nerfs... They don't work as intended.

Brutal, not deadly (I hope that was in error as we'be suffered enough), and sentry are nerfs... They could be needed changes but playing/testing the game would have shown these imbalances before release so your 100% right in my mind.

    None of them are nerfs.

All those 4 things were not working as they should have been.

    1. Balance - was broken
    2. Brutal - was broken.
    3. Wreckless - was broken.
    4. Sentry - Wasn't being used as intended. Which is obvious just looking at what it does. These sets were meant to bolster play styles, Sentry was obviously for the Marksman/Sniper play style.

Stop ****ing crying because they are fixing the damn game.

I think that was most of his point though. There's been some incredibly broken talents and stats that clearly weren't tested before being put into the game.

When they talked about nerfing, it was specifically about weapons. So, they stayed true to that... by announcing that they are "nerfing" the gear and talents. Reckless was always intended to be fixed and Sentry's call is foolish to be active from an SMG.

As they said, they increased damage a lot with 1.1, and now they're lowering the damage output with 1.2. This will be interesting with the new 75% armor buff, because PvP firefights will last longer. Rolling through the DZ, I melt NPC's and PvP rarely last long enough to talk about. Changes are welcome.

To the OP, inventory space isn't an issue. I have multiple gear sets, with extra pieces, and 30+ weapon skins. If you're running into issues, create an Alt character and you'll have more space.

You made some typing errors here. Let me correct those for you:

Balanced CLEARLY informed you in the EXTREMELY clear tool-tip that it is ONLY supposed to give you max-accuracy as you are shouldering. It takes no brain at all to know this translates to ... well ... when you are shouldering. So when you shoulder, you have max accuracy, then when you fire that max-accurate shot, then it is buff over. You return to normal. Anyone using Balanced is pretty much using a cheat that is one-half step below using an aim-bot. Besides, even after they do the fix, you know there will be players exploiting it by "shoulder-fire-unshoulder-shoulder-fire-repeat to infinity". Sorry, but if you NEED Balanced that badly to aim your weapon, then you seriously need to learn to aim on your own.

Sentry's Call was advertised, clearly and often, as a Marksman set. As a Marksman I was excited to have a set for my build, and just as excited that the assault types were getting their Strikers set for their roles, and also excited that my Electronics Alt was getting Tactician's Authority. It was my hope that now we could see a bit more diversity in roles in this game. But ... the gear launched extremely broken, allowing people with Assault Weapons to become VERY deadly and OP with Sentry sets on. Now the sets are getting FIXED to how they were clearly advertised during literally every promotional announcement they had about sets prior to release. If you were using Sentry with assault weapons and you didn't think a fix was coming, that's on you, not them.

Again ... the description of this stat has ALWAYS stated, from the very beginning, that you are SUPPOSED to be TAKING a bit of damage to even the advantage of you dishing out more damage. And it's not even a bad trade-off.

As for the Deadly stat ... I haven't even heard of them doing anything to that stat. So no comment there. In none of the streams I have watched recently has Deadly even been mentioned.

    Faelandaea,
I think the OP meant to say Brutal, not Deadly. Either way, love you made a great post.
