Over the past several weeks I have done a thorough online investigation of the game utilizing a multitude of online sources. Below I have listed every aspect of Ghost Recon: Wildlands that is publicly available so far to my knowledge. Disclaimer: there is always the possibility that a few of these things may no longer be considered accurate.

What We Know So Far…

*Story*

In order to combat the high level of illegal drug trafficking coming over the southern border, the U.S. Government deploys 4 Ghosts (spec ops) to South America (modern day Bolivia) in a black ops attempt to break the alliance between the Cartel and the corrupt local government.

Map

1. Explorable open world (biggest Ubisoft map yet).
2. Modeled after Bolivia and contains Bolivian landmarks.
3. At least nine different terrains (deserts, jungles, forests, mountains, valleys, swamps, plains, lakes, canyons, etc.).
4. Hundreds of villages.
5. Day and night cycles.
6. Weather system.

Gameplay

1. Tactical-based third-person shooter.
2. Transitional first-person scoping.
3. Non-linear storyline - meaning missions can be played any way (stealth, assault, ambush, etc.), any time (day, night, today, tomorrow, etc.), and in any order.
4. How you accomplish missions affects the map's dynamics (infrastructure, demographics, etc.).
5. According to the trailer there are at least 18 missions (this is probably just in one area of the map however).
6. There are side missions to do as well.
7. Co-op - you play on a four-person team. Your teammates are AI controlled, but for each friend that joins the game an AI teammate is replaced.
8. You are not tethered to your teammates regardless if they are friends or AI - meaning you can roam the map freely by yourself and meet up with teammates later.
9. GTA style vehicle controls.
10. Characters can only carry so much inventory. Characters can also be completely hands-free (not holding a weapon).
11. Ability to lay prone.
12. Ability to hurtle obstacles.
13. Ability to take cover behind objects.
14. Ability to melee attack.
15. Ability to grab bad guys and use them as human shields or choke them out.
16. Ability to steal any vehicle.
17. Ability to skydive (BASE jumping is not yet certain)
18. More realistic damage (no damage per second like The Division). Only five to six shots to kill or be killed.
19. It has not yet been made public if there will be a PvP option.
20. The developers (and definitely the fans) want a high level of realism concerning player health. It's rumored there won't be an automatic regenerative health system - requiring you to fall back to a safe area and patch yourself up when hit or take the chance that the next bullet finishes you off. Fans are even suggesting to the developers that injuries should impair movement and degrade performance depending on where you get hit.
21. Night vision goggles can be equipped (elite enemies may have some too).
22. There will be an XP ranking system.
23. There are multiple factions in the game: the cartel, the Bolivian government, Unidad (military), police, civilians, and several rebel groups.
24. Enemies can be marked so the team knows locations and who is who.
25. Heavy artillery (mortars, mines, C4, grenades, etc.) is available.
26. Sniping is more realistic (need for compensating for bullet drop and wind to a certain degree).
27. There are several zoom levels with certain scopes.

Artificial Intelligence

1. Advanced AI adapts to your in-game decisions. Your choices can cause civilians/enemies to form alliances with or against you, retaliate, or flee the area.
2. Each AI civilian is unscripted and has their own agenda. This includes things like going to work during the day, going to a concert or fiesta in the evening, and coming home at night.
3. AI teammates can operate vehicles while you shoot, navigate, or without you present in the vehicle.
4. Enemy AI can commandeer vehicles and give chase or try to run you down.
5. The environment affects the AI's senses (darkness/fog affects visibility, rain/thunder affects audibility, etc).
6. AI can flank, charge, fall-back, displace, etc.
7. Civilians won't be boring and similar to each other like in The Division. Each will be unique.

Vehicles

1. Cars/trucks/vans
2. Motorcycles
3. Dune buggies
4. Boats
5. Helicopters
6. Drones

Customization

1. Character features
2. Outfits (realistic spec ops and civilian attire)
3. Weapons (via gunsmith, way more in-depth than The Division, even the trigger is customizable)
4. Gear (again realistic)
5. Skills
6. Your three AI teammates can also be upgraded and customized (probably to an extent).

Release Date Speculation

1. This game has been in production since at least 2012.
2. First publicly announced at E3, summer 2015.
3. Could be Beta Testing late this summer.
4. Speculated to be released sometime between September 2016 to March 2017.
5. Expecting more specifics at E3 next month.
6. The game is already available for pre-order.

Please respond with other aspects of the game you may have caught that I missed. Or things you heard differently. The point of this thread is to gather all available information into one spot before E3.
