It's asinine. Try being helpful. That's how people get good.
Saying you've never died from a sticky is the exact same as saying "I've been lucky that no one's ever shot me with a sticky while I was engaging and NPC, getting loot from a crate, or while taking a quick look at my inventory." Also...hitting people with a sticky isn't difficult. You shoot someone with your primary and while doing so hit the bumper instead. Or you shoot them when they've been shocked. You you shoot them with incendiary rounds and stick 'em while they're putting out the fire. There may be a 101 ways to avoid a sticky bomb, but there are just as many ways to get hit with one. So the solution to getting hit with one is a little more elaborate than "get good."
I hope you never have kids. "Dad, how do I tie my shoe?" "Well, dear....there are tons of way to tie a stupid shoe. Get good."
To get hit by the full blast you have to be in the middle of the blast radius. The further out you are the less damage you take. Because of server lag it is very difficult to get someone caught in the middle of the blast.
If anything, sticky bombs need to be made more effective since having a high skill build isn't rewarded nearly as much as dps.

Listen to the sound of the bomb being cast on your headset , and then run , if in a group , one may die, then the rest just nuke bleep out of him/her and kill living crap out of the rest of them if single player , well you hit wrong team,
Next time if your a single player nuke the person first, used your pulse scan to see if there around , and if there conceled run the f away and learn your map for rouges or areas thats been cleared, , or take the chance and get a invite for a party and join and have fun, or move along and have fun.
Sounds like Op is a prime example of a player who went crit hit build ignoring all the more important stuff like EXOTIC DAMAGE RESILIENCE AND RESISTANT. Sticky bombs only tickle a little when gear done right. Also focus on burn and shock resistance, crowd control, especially incendiary rounds are your everyday pvp now. Your dps means **** when we low level with immunity burn you to death (or sticky).
Exotic Damage resilience is huge. And while it's important to have burn and shock resistance, unless your gear has native resistance to those to begin with, you're only ever going to be able to re-roll one attribute into any piece of gear. There will always be tough decisions to be made. If you load up in one area, you're bound to be exposed in others. Or, you can attempt to have a decent amount of balance.Originally Posted by Techanarchy Go to original post
While shock turrets, sticky bombs, and incendiary rounds are all pretty big hazards that all garner some consideration when building out your character...the vast majority of what you're going to be confronted with are good old fashioned bullets. EDR ends up being pretty boss.
I don't think most people realize that when they're having a hard time brining someone else down, and they're getting melted, it's not because they have low health or don't have the max armor mitigation...it's because neither one of those does anything to mitigate exotic damage. It's its own thing. EDR is crucial to the PvP poriton of this game. You get someone with high health, full 65% armor mitigation, high exotic damage resilience, and then toss etierh Survival Link or Med Link on top...plus 7 med kits and a Booster shot? Yeah...it can be tough to take someone down when they've got all that.

The thing was I saw a team of 4 rogues, using this skill set and killing the entire session of players, not just me. the bombs were ready like in 10sec after the first blow, was impossible to counter attack. If the entire session was playing without EDR was too lucky to be true for this squad. Because in an RPG game you cannot have such a talent wth this kind of power, always on, ready to do another hit. It ruins the experience do to farming for weapons and gear, since, you just need to have the talent.
and to end with my question above, how much you guys think the percentage of EDR is sufficient?
It's the hard counter to dps stack builds. Play a hybrid or learn to roll dodge. It's not op and not broken. This game needs more then one viable build. Incase your wondering I do not run a sticky bomb build (I do plan at building a set twords this post update). Simply put git gudOriginally Posted by alessampa Go to original post
Hard to say really because EDR very rarely takes priority in selecting Major attributes on gear. I did a video series on all gear pieces and when to look for it. Let me check my notebook here....Originally Posted by alessampa Go to original post
Ok! So according to what I have written here, look for EDR on Masks, Kneepads, and Body Armor. Those are your 3 best chances to look for Exotic Damage Resistance to add to your gear. Not saying you need it on all 3, but if you're paranoid, I'd say atleast 2 pieces of gear. Taking it on Body Armor and Kneepads is what I would do, since most people don't want to sacrifice a second mod slot on their mask for EDR.
Keep in mind also that EDR can be found on gear mods also. That's a good opportunity to grab some extra!
