Please, STOP forcing People with exclusive equip into Darkzone if they don't want it.

What they absolutly need to stop doing is enforcing the Darkzone on Players to progress. There is absolutly no reason why any loot needs to be exclusive only for the Darkzone.

NO that Region isn't in any way more difficult or needs more Skill or anything like that.

All the difficulty about it is that you have to do a stupid long DzFunds+Level grind while you have to endure occasional silly grief(+cheat) behavior from other Players, and thats all about it. The latter won't stop your endless grind, it just can occasional push your grind back a little and annoys you a lot, thats all.

That is not more difficult in any means, it is for most people just a lot more annoying. Honestly, doing Falcon Lost on challanging is way more difficult to do than that.

People are frustrated because they are unnecessary forced to do it for their equipment progression. So STOP doing that and make the same Loot accesible/grindable in different ways, so people can choose for themself if they want to do that stupid zone or not.

I'll throw my opinion out here... and I know... opinions are like ***holes... everyones got one...

Been playing since closed Beta... loved it... BUT... closed AND open Beta I never went into the DZ... wasn't interested in it... heck, even got my pre-order in just for the single player portion of the game...

After the game went live... started playing... still had zero interest in the DZ... grouped with a friend one day and he suggested a DZ run... "Sure... I guess, why not..."

Been running it since then, solo mostly and grouped now and then... and loving it... sure, Rogues jumping me slow my leveling down (finally hit level 68 yesterday and close to 69) but that's part of the fun to me I believe...

The tension factor of not KNOWING who's going to jump you... I help out neutral agents all the time, even with the chance they could back stab me and take my loot. Heck, helped out a group take down Bonnie in DZ01 yesterday, got some Sentry Gloves as a drop... didn't say anything but still... even a HE drop is worth it for some to gank you over... managed to extract them as well... only GS 191 but not a bad haul finally...

Bah, rambling on a bit but I guess the final bit I needed to put out is again, I'm loving the DZ... when to start, that was the part of the game I had ZERO interest in...

The point is not if you like or dislike the Darkzone, i'm sure theres people who like it, and also a lot of people who don't.

The point is, that People should have a choice if they want to do it or not. If you place better equipment there, and only there, they have no choice, in a Game that is in the end all about Gear and Character progression.

Thats like putting Uniques in Diablo3 only into Greater Rifts and no where else.

Wait, where does it FORCE you to do the DZ? You can still get end game gear in the BoO. The items in the DZ are not required to end game content, it' just bonus gear for the people willing to play that advertised aspect of the game.

Ok, i'll bite, what exactly is in the DZ that you ABSOLUTELY need so you can do your PVE content? Can you not clear Falcon Lost Challenging because you don't have the DZ weapons and mods? This is a serious question BTW

    Cheers,

I don't think it's about 'needing' weapons/mods (blueprints) from the DZ but about accessability.
Of course it is easier to master Falcon Lost (CM) with GS204 weapons instead of GS182 weapons. Although I don't mind the DZ that much I dislike being forced into the DZ to get my hands on these blueprints.
On the other hand I would dislike being forced into Falcon Lost (CM) to get my hands on GS240 gear once a week, or even GS214 (exchangeable) gear if I were a PVP centric player.
As the 200+ DZ bracket is coming with 1.2 you don't need to do Falcon Lost any longer (as PVP centric player). The PVE player on the other hand is still forced to go to the DZ to get GS204 blueprints.

    Hope that helped,

I would retitle the thread to say.

"Players shouldn't be forced into the DZ to continue their character's equipment progression."

Otherwise, +1. I agree with the idea of the OP.

Right, and that is my point EXACTLY! Its a want versus a need. As a PVE player you WANT to have the shinies, but you dont NEED them to complete your missions. As a PVP player you NEED that higher end gear because you NEED to keep up with other players or your just fodder. If I have a GS 204 AUG or M1A and im running PVE missions, does it really matter if im killing mobs slightly faster then you are as long as we meet our objective and that is finishing the mission? This argument is asinine at best. Show me PVE content that you can not complete without DZ gear and I will feel sympathy for these people, until then wait for the patches and see what happens.

No in a word. The gear sets are all locked behind Incursion or the DZ, all you can get in the BoO is masks and kneepads, all the 204 and up BP's are all in the DZ leaving you to farm PC in the PVE area and then having to wait and HOPE that your lucky enough to get the stuff on sale that you want on a Friday. That can take weeks of waiting.

I hit 1000 PC earlier in the week, both weapons on offer this week are crap, I can't earn anymore PC's and now I have to hope that today brings something good, if nothing good comes, I'll have to wait until next Friday until it changes again. So what do I do in the meantime? Well basically go and play something else cause I have zero interest in the DZ as it is and I have never found one decent team to complete an incursion on Hard, let alone challenging. Also there is the small fact that it's as boring as watching paint dry.

Basically PVE players are now in the position of having NOTHING to do when they have 1000PC and nothing to spend it on.
