Nerfing Sentry was a bad idea!!

PvP is usually the best part of most games and everyone usually develops a play style to compete in PvP that helps them stay competitive. I am a huge PvP player in all games and love the fact that this game has created something different in PvP, it really is a lot of fun. But, when you start forcing people to change their play style which has taken time to develop by nerfing gear and weapons that has taken so much time to get and create, especially in this game, it's time to start looking at other games play. I would understand nerfing something if everyone could not get a set of sentry gear, but everyone can. Always give (buff) never take away (nerf)!!!. I had over 3000 hours into Destiny and when they started nerfing stuff it was over for me a lot of others who played a lot of PvP. To be honest I did not care if the DZ dropped good stuff, if it did great, if not who cares I was just there to have fun and be competitive. I guarantee that I am older than most of the people playing this game and can play this game as much as I want because of the business decision I have made, but nerfing stuff in competitive play is a bad business decision and actually kind of baffles me that companies will do it. Will I stop playing ?? Hell no love this game, but I just hope this does not become something that happens all the time. All of you who have bought season passes have bought stock in this game for it's longevity, but you should have first waited to make sure they are making the right decisions that's what keeps a game going.

Sentry is basically the worst part of PVP. It's the only good part of the upcoming nerf.

Is it so hard to rebuild your playstyle to adapt to the changes? Every time the nerfwagon rolled through in Destiny, I just said "Okay, now these are strong weapons, which means I need to change how I play." I didn't love it or anything (my poor, poor Hopscotch Pilgrim...your beautiful impact!), but if a 40-year-old dog like me can learn some new tricks, I'd figure anyone can.

I would suggest fixing it before nerfing because atm it stacks after death. If they fixed it then it would not be quite so op

    Why using past ?

Rebalance and patch is not even out yet.

And we still do not know what they will exactly do with it.
    Semi-auto weapons only is vague...

I guess it's not that I can't, I just hate going through a learning curve again. Yes, the Hopscotch was a beautiful weapon, but I did love the Thorn. Send and message if you ever want to hit the DZ.

I was just trying to make a point, that's it. It is what it is, whatever the changes. I probably play to much anyways, actually I know I play to much. LOL

All sets are usable (bar Nomad, although the 3 PC is decent for specialized builds).

    Sentry just dwarves them.

Nerfing the sentry set for PvP is the right thing to do. You actually enjoyed getting melted in 1 second? Nerfing it in PvE, that's a whole different story. It's going to make challenge mode even harder since you will be doing a lot less damage.
