Well only thing I can say is that I think where most of this so called toxicity is stemming from is that it's becoming more of a trend that everyone and there pet monkey shares every single thing that happens to them on a daily basis. Granted more companies are using Social Media sites more often then actual product websites. However with companies like Chris Robert's "Robert Space Industries" that seem to tell their community every single thing that happens from problems to achievements during the development cycle of the game. Where as we come to the Division and we see them on twitch stating they are so excited for the future due to seeing what's in development. Yet they keep it a secret because they don't want to spoil any sort of surprise.

Why not just tell us what's in the works instead of the usual "Can't talk about it just yet." Are they seriously so scared that some other software company is going to steal some idea of theirs and put it their game. I've basically stopped playing several weeks ago but still follow it due to I want to see it succeed and last. What's weird is till the other day never even heard of Homefront and saw a video for it the other day. After playing The Division I saw so many comparisons and similarities I almost thought both companies were communicating back and forth on how close they could come up with the same product.

It is not that they want it to be a surprise. If they post a planned patch and then change something, you get a flood of "But you promised X!"

True, however they could follow up with a development video of what the problem is to begin with. Instead of posting a Isacs video with weekly tasks that would be better done in-game, granted with the Development one you at least have communication from the dev team. Instead of some PR marketing video campaign to attract more players. All Hamish would really need to do is take that GoPro he has for his story time and go by the Development team and ask some questions like what are you working on.

The biggest problem right now is the community toxicity, the haves and have-not's. People are upset because some players who, may or may not have, dedicated the time to rank up and grind out gear pre-patch are overbearing to those who dont have the time to spare.

The Division is a game that is accessible to anyone, core or casual, but the curve to get new gear and new items and progress further in the game than the average bear alligns more towards the core gamer -- someone who dedicates more than an hour or two at a time to the game. I'm not saying that casual players cant progress, but you have to understand that this is an MMO. It's not meant to be easy.

I myself have close to twenty days played. I believe it was 19 days and 21 hours when I logged off today. I am Gear Score 203 and DZ99. I've put the time and effort into the game to get to where I am today, but im still finding things to do and things to look forward to even after dumping all that time into the game. I still dont have a single 240 GS item. I still dont have a 204 First Wave M1A that I actually like. I still dont have a 204 pair of gloves. I still dont have a single piece of Sentries that is worth the loss of DPS / Health. Im still in the min maxing phase of my build, even though I am currently at 300 / 95 / 10.

My point is, everyone finds enjoyment in the title in different ways. If we cater to everyone, it doesn't help everyone in the end. There has to be a common ground where we can all agree on certain things and what is "fair", and I firmly believe that when v1.2 Conflict arrives, alot of those issues will be addressed and taken care of.

The team wants to be more transparent with you guys, and they read your comments as much as they can between here, social media and Reddit. They are listening, they just might not be as vocal as you would like them to be about it.

Natchai and I talk and share your ideas back an forth almost on a daily basis. It's part of the Community Manager's job on the title to make a short list of ideas and write reports on the community and what players' would like to see in the game. Thats why threads like this exist: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...eady-forwarded

I am doing the best that I can, within my power, as a Moderator to help convey to the Community Managers and on to the devs what you guys are asking for. I just ask that you have a little more patience. Im a player too, just like you guys, after all.
I find your call for patience a little funny. Don't get me wrong I agree with much of what you wrote, but still. I'll be interested to see what happens for PS4 / PC players in June. The season pass is now on sale in the PSStore and those who purchased the season pass for full price at pre-order have yet to see any real value in it. You mention a toxic community of haves and have nots, but Massive will be perpetuating resentment in a large part of the community by treating us as 2nd class players, simply due to platform choice. Sure it can be said that it's standard practice to have exclusive or early release content, but that does not make it fair or any less divisive. With Massive waving the XBox flag and PC / PS4 players left waiting until July(?) to see any real value in a season pass with depreciating value how can anyone honestly expect us to be patient?

I've got 3 level 30 (195+) characters and one that is almost level 30 with over 27 days in game .... I can't say I didn't get value from the initial purchase. However, if Massive wants me as a long term (2017) customer their going to need to start pulling some Season pass, rabbits out of their hat and drop this exclusive XBox BS. I'm starting to resent buying the gold edition.

If I had something like patch 1.1 planned, I'd want to keep it quiet too.

I don't need to read any further, to tell, you are ... better don't say, what I think, but let me tell you Ubisoft money makers something.

The people like me are upset, because The Division is ****. It started great, with a good story, immersive gameplay and after - even for a casual like me - two weeks, all this is gone and the game is a week long grind for casuals like me.

I DO HAVE the time, to play The Division, but i DON'T WANT TO!

Where are the MMO games, which took casuals months to see the whole world? In what MMO before 2010 was I forced to play the same quest or mission over and over again, to proceed in the game?

To proceed to 220, what's needed for Broken Circle, I do have to play daily challenging missions for weeks. Then I have to play Falcon Lost for more weeks - an endgame content which basically plays in ONE ROOM with FIFTEEN waves of enemies. ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME?

Oh wait, but then I am about gear score 200 and what's next... let's see... oh yeah, play Falcon Lost all over again... just on another level.

THIS IS NO FUN and this is why people say you suck, Ubisoft sucks and the game sucks!

Take a close look at something like Neocron, Star Wars Galaxy, World of Warcraft or Everquest and Everquest 2 and maybe then you know, why people are mad.

You're only luck is, most of your beloved faithful community is too young to remember such games.

Stick the game up, where it belongs and stop making games like this, which are only there for money making reasons with the highest possible ROI. And please, stop complaining... this is embarrassing for the both of us.

YOU ARE RUINING THE VIDEO GAMING COMMUNITIES and not the community themselves!

The game has simple fundamental flaws that need addressing..

    • The weapon balance, trying to add pve type weapons and gear into a pvp aspect of the game will never work, it makes players with them unbeatable, there is no need for hacking or exploits with these current weapons they are destroying lower players because the gear is untouchable.. Skills follow this same train of thought..
    • PvE and PvP you never ever mix these two types of customers they hate each other with a passion, forcing either group into one or the other ends in tears and customers leaving.
    • The bugs and network issues that have plagued this game since release.. mike, delta and sierra are running jokes in this game now... many still can't even get the game out of a black screen and i actually uninstalled because i was tired of falling through the damn world over and over...
    • Content, after level 30 there is nothing to keep the customers playing, most hate the DZ (Really hate the social experiment tbh) the missions run out and its down to a few stagnant coop missions to rinse repeat over, you have an unbeatable 15 waves thing added but most cannot even get a team to stay to get through it, the challenge missions have been gated, the solo bosses removed, the crafting ruined and single player open world is empty..

With all that said you still wonder why the community is toxic, i'd be surprised if it wasn't at this point and all those above need to be addressed asap if you ever want to salvage anything from this game..

If you never plan on addressing the PvE side of the game at least open up refunds to those that would like to move on from this train wreck..

    My 2cents

    Thanks for reading.
