    Ubi should have only put SMG's and Snipers in game...other weapons useless.

    I've learned that darkzoners only have SMG's and Sniper Rifles. The most neglected weapon is the LMG and Assault Rifle. If my assessment is correct, for PVP the ONLY useful weapons are SMGS and Snipers. and for PVE, pretty much the same. By comparison of the LMG and assault rifle people may say they have longer range, and they can suppress....but the low damage, recoil, and cons of these weapons far outweigh the pros by comparison of other weapons in the game.

    Is this a balancing problem or what? I'm not even sure why they put the double barrel shotgun in the game as well.....

    I'm speaking as one who runs SMG because no other weapon comes close to its DPS, Recoil, firing rate, etc. I started this forum post because sometimes i would 'like' to use another weapon but it's hard going from a Lamborghini down to a bunch of Honda Civic, and Toyota Camry models, as being the only other varieties to choose from.

    Well... weapon balancing (buffing other weapons) is coming according to the Devs... so... give it a bit and we'll see how they do with it...

    I only use SMG on one of my chars as it's main weapon. Maybe if you folks stop making the same cookie cutter chars it would be more fun for you.

    They are not usless at all. Currently my AR has 30K more dps than my SMG. My Lmg only has 10K less than my SMG but breaks armour and has 3 times as much ammo. Use some explosive rounds with that and watch guys pop.

    At the very top end where you have the best possible weapons and build then yes, the SMG and FWM1A rule, but below that level, all weapons, other than shotguns, are useful. You just have to learn what they are good for and what they are not good for.

    For PVE, an AR seems much better to me for a DPS prioritized build, as it allows medium distance. For PVP though, given that the game mechanics don't encourage cover based tactics, indeed an SMG is more useful. My AR however has higher DPS than my SMG. You're right though that most people constantly use SMG as main weapon in any situation. Must also be a stability control preference.

    I'm curious to see how the weapons nerfs will be (I'm a bit sad though about the balanced talent).

    There are no nerfs coming at all. Balanced is being fixed to working as intended, so not a nerf. Other than that, weapons will only be buffed

    Weapon balancing and Talent adjustment will be a huge pillar of v1.2 Conflict that is scheduled for release in May. This comes along with bug and Talent fixes as well as an overhaul to loot. This should make different weapons more viable for both PVE and PVP in the future.

    Well if they fixed all the glitches on the ps4 on stacking , then no would not be . until they fixed all the consoles glitches then yea. and also there is amazing assault rifle glitch that can go through all your specials, and lmg ones, and sometimes game will glitch if switch back to smg , say it smg or sniper.

    snipers are fine, it was the balanced talent making them OP, this is going to get fixed, but i still wonder who thought it would be great to add extra crit chance to SMGs, but not give other weapons types something
