Does anyone know how to do this cover move on purpose ?

This little slide spin deal around the 10 second mark.

It depends on the cover you're moving to, and its position in relation to your original cover.

Typically, you only get this slide when you are traversing left into right-hand cover (or vice versa). I'll get a video of a place you can replicate it.

Also, the cover must not be parallel to where you're at. If they're off at an angle, it's pretty easy to replicate.

    Damn.

I was hoping for more intentional cover animations.

Kinda like fighting games where a sequence of button presses change the combo you do.

I've found a few things but this would have been pretty cool to do on command. Also they really née intentional sliding. All in all the cover system is pretty decent once you get used to it but it does leave me wanting a little bit more. I'd kill for a crouch button.

Well, you can do this "intentionally" when the cover is like that, but that's about it. Basically, since you were running and using the cover button, it prioritized the oblique animation as opposed to the duck walk in.

Yeah I understand that part. Even with similar cover that little spin on the ground I can't replicate. Sad. It looks so slick.
