Closing this thread to do away with such rumors."
I guess maybe they can't pass it off as simply "rumors"? Or they simply have bigger fish to fry at the moment?
Looking at the current graph, it seems the trend has continued. However to be fair, one thing to remember is you have to consider these are only PC statics, and only from those who purchased through Steam. While the trend is likely similar on all platforms, the numbers are much higher, and the degree to which they dropped is likely not quite as drastic as those on the PC, where the hacking problems were far and above what people had to deal with on consoles.
where can u find the stats?Originally Posted by NitroMidgets Go to original post
Ubisoft will always pretend the game and the player base are healthy because in business you will never admit to a loss of monetization options.Originally Posted by Ezilyamuz3d Go to original post
The game has core issues an mechanics which are niche mechanics. This is true on console and on PC. And while it is undeniable that the PC suffered from hacking issues...these issues are not the only problems with this game. You can see an overall drop off in Youtube and Twitch views as well. And these include console users.
PSN will see a large drop off in the next few weeks with an excellent summer line up for the coming three months and with Xbox getting the TD DLC a month early.
WoW had a horrible release. It recovered but only because it was so different from other titles.
HalfLife 2 had a bad release. It became one of the highest awarded titles ever.
This can be salvaged, massive will need to make herculean efforts to do so though. As there are more titles that never did recover from a bad start... Final Fantasy XIV anyone?

Can't say it's surprising. The game is frustratingly broken. Try to go into the DZ and get better gear just to find 8-man squads going rogue and leaving you with no chance of surviving. Yeah, you can do the same thing, but now you have 2 squads killing each other and gaining no rewards in the process because you get nothing special for killing them. The frustration is NOT worth it.
Ok then, I'll try doing the daily missions to possibly get a good drop or at the very least gain materials to craft some stuff. Good in theory, when the game actually works. Starting missions that have closed doors at the start so you have to quit and try to start again and hope it doesn't happen again (which it does. 3 times in a row for me last night), levels with no textures so you can't get through the missions, and no dailies even being available to play makes this game not worth being a dedicated player.
I like the game and still play it, but I can see why people quit and do not blame them in the slightest. And that's not even mentioning the glitchers.
I would like to be playing The Div. but faulty banwave, I cannot. Sigh.
I noticed now that I'm unabled to play about a dozen of my friends aren't on daily either... Guess I was holding our groups together? (We were PVE and PVE DZ, non rogues FYI)
Thanks Ubisoft! Breaking groups apart since 20**
I was going to buy siege tonight to play during this lockout but... decided to go with hardline and bought my friend a copy too.
Tsk Tsk ubi.
Agreed. It's fine on the Xbox right now. Besides, why do I care if other people are still playing as long as my friends and I are having fun?Originally Posted by insane79 Go to original post
