The irony is most of the overgeared people in this game exploited / cheated / hacked (on PC) there way to that position, so it doesn't matter in the long-run, ironically.Originally Posted by TheGantrithor Go to original post
I play other games in between Division sessions, but I like the overall feel and setting of TD most of all.
However, it's not living up to the potential I, and many others had when we bought the game at release... Which is a shame because all the right pieces are there, but they are being reconfigured into something a lot of people don't want to play which may mean the game gets shutdown earlier than later.
If that happens, I will play something else, but as stated, I criticize because I like the game. If I didn't care, I wouldn't be here. Plain and simple.
To an extent I have been critical of some features or the lack of same in this game, but to be fair give the game a chance to redeem itself. We have got whatever improvements are coming in 1.2 through mostly objective criticism of mistakes the dev has made in the original release and subsequent updates to date. Having said that, let them make mistakes first, before we criticise. We haven't even see the patch notes, let alone played the changes.Originally Posted by Article_99 Go to original post
Guess people will think twice about getting a petition going for a game that was never intended to be on PC ... then the Developer / Publisher rush it out and then you get things occurring like the hackers, pc only glitches, the drop off in player base due to the hackers and the glitches etc etc ...
A lot of truth in that in my opinion. The game was not launched as a PvP game. It's not a PvP game. It's not a PvE game either. Everyone seems to have the mindset that it's one or the other when really it's a mix of both. Where the game has suffered for me is the lack of variety. I don't always want to go into the DZ but what else is there to do out of it once you have completed everything? Ever an optimist I live in hope that 1.2 will surprise in a good way.Originally Posted by gX-kiD Go to original post
You are exactly right and 1.2 is just trying to bait players to go back into the DZ. The developers just can't get it that you cannot force players to play a certain game style.. And that's all the 1.2 update is trying to do with it's changes to the DZ.Originally Posted by gX-kiD Go to original post
not to mention the fact steam only accounts for probably 40% of the original sales of the game, direct purchases wouldnt show up on STEAM graphs.Originally Posted by Bo.Juka Go to original post
This... just 100% this. I also believe it all started with the 1.1 update which almost eliminated the penalties for going Rogue which only resulted in the DZ getting worse.Originally Posted by Sgt.Saddler Go to original post
I am on console and have loved the game from day one, despite me having the backpack glitch locking me out of the game for almost a month. It still makes me wonder how strong I would be without that time lost. I mostly just replay the incursion and help other get through it that haven't. I go into the DZ for about 30 minutes a day and don't PvP, but just trying to get to lvl 75 for some decent gear. I still play 3 or 4 hours a day and don't expect that to slow anytime soon.
