Hi all! I want oto ask about that this is a bug or not in RMG. IN the random map generator when we begin if we choose for example Stronghold we will always get Stronghold tile and terrain type at his first quarter terrain and always every buildings and mines, arttifact will be guarded by stronghold units. That is a standard palette or we failed or forgot to set something on?

Random map generator complaint.
First of all I'd like to thank you for making in-game RMG, however one thing I dislike about generated maps is that neutral creatures next to your town are always of your faction.
For example if I start as Dungeon, only Dungeon creatures will spawn guarding mines and resouces nearby. This is kind of boring.

We're looking into changing that. It's super crap if you're playing Necropolis and all you have is Undead so you MUST get No Rest For The Wicked or die trying, same with Academy: Gargoyles everywhere? MAN that is annoying.
I have a few complaints about the RMG. I love this new feature, it helps when you're burned out on the existing maps available.
I will point out that I mostly created only XL (300x300) maps, always with underground, always with 8 players. Using dozens of Seeds, I never came close to anything near as playable as what is shown in the screenshots.
The RMG is SO CLOSE to being usable, but, I don't use the maps generated by the RMG because:
1) Everything is spaced too far apart.
(I tried XL and L sizes, thinking map sizes would make a difference... it didn't)
1a) As a result of this, there is not enough to do in the map.
1b) There should probably be a "density" option which allows you to have artifacts, resources, mines and the like be placed much closer together or not (with many more created overall)
For us, on an XL map with 8 players, and an underground, it looked like what we expecting is 4x the density of what was generated.
2) The Gem mines (non-wood, non-ore) are *never* created in your Starting City's zone.
This means you have to travel a LONG LONG distance to capture them. There should be an option to place them within your Starting City's zone (esp. for XL maps!)
3) There is no option to make the Creature Generators that spawn within your Starting City's zone create the same creatures that your Starting City creates.
4) I don't really care how long it takes to create a map (well, within reason, heh). 10 minutes is reasonable, even 30, because I will get many many hours of play out of it, if the map is successful. Just wanted to mention that.
Thanks for considering my suggestions.![]()
Try to set the "Resources" option to "very rich" -> it should help you a little bit at least with this issue.Originally Posted by throvolos Go to original post
I like the RMG, somtimes on big maps i see a problem with the ways from on area in the next, i should walk throw lava or on high areas but i cant pass. Sometimes the terrain have mines, cratures buildings and ressources i can not reach. (must of the time on lava and water areas)
anyone how see that to? Lg
